JoinBrands Review: Pay-Per-Job UGC Videos From $50 Plus Fees
What a brand pays for one pay-per-job UGC video on JoinBrands at the $60 default and the $50 floor once the platform fee is added, who owns the footage, and what its public ratings say.

JoinBrands quotes the creator's pay, then adds its fee
JoinBrands is a marketplace where you post a campaign, creators apply to it, and you get photos, videos or social posts of your product back. Its help center sets the default price of one UGC video job in a pay-per-job campaign at $60 in the US marketplace. You can lower that to a floor of $50, and either number is what the creator earns before JoinBrands adds anything.
The platform fee comes on top, and it depends on your plan. With no subscription, it's 15% of what the creator earns, and the top plan brings it down to 8%. Pay by card and JoinBrands adds a 3.5% card fee to the part it charges to the card. So by our math, a brand with no plan pays $57.50 for a basic video job at the floor, before the card fee, the product and its shipping. JoinBrands' getting-started guide says that once you've approved and bought a video, "it's yours to use however you'd like," whether that's in ads, on product pages, in social posts or in email.
We haven't used JoinBrands ourselves, and we didn't build a campaign there. What we say about it comes from JoinBrands' pricing page, help center and terms, and from its public ratings. We read them on October 30, 2026, from a connection in Spain. The help center lists each marketplace in its own currency, so the dollar prices we quote are for the US marketplace. The Novoads side comes from our own price list and a render we made on October 9, 2026.
How a JoinBrands campaign works for a brand
From brief to applicants
You start by choosing an objective (Content Only, Content + Posting, Social Blast or Retainer), then a content type such as TikTok, Instagram, Amazon or a plain video, then a package. The FAQ on JoinBrands' pricing page explains the first two objectives.
- With Content Only, the creator films the video and delivers it to you to post wherever you like.
- With Content + Posting, the creator also publishes it on their own account. The same FAQ says Content + Posting "is available on all paid plans."
Video jobs come in several types, which JoinBrands lists as product reviews, unboxings, product demos, how-tos, custom videos, green screen, video ads and AI videos. It describes its Video Ad as "a polished, ad-ready video built to perform in paid media." You can ask for portrait, landscape, square or 4:5 vertical footage, or leave the format to the creator. If you're new to the idea of paying a person to film your product, our explainer on what a UGC creator is covers the basics.
Then creators apply. JoinBrands sorts them into three levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), and its help center says intermediate creators have "an average rating of 4.0 or higher over the past year." Advanced creators need 4.3 or higher over the same year. Most JoinBrands creators are based in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and Germany, and the help center says that's why "the vast majority of content is filmed in English."
Your card isn't charged until a creator takes the job, except on Social Blast campaigns, which JoinBrands charges upfront.
Review, escrow and revisions
Every video goes through two reviews, and the creator only gets paid after the second.
- JoinBrands' team checks that the video follows your brief and the platform's quality guidelines.
- You review it, then approve it, ask for a revision or decline it.
Your money stays in escrow until you approve, and JoinBrands' guide for brands says "You only pay for content you accept."
How many revisions you get depends on your plan. With no plan, it's one per job, and Max, the top plan, gives you ten. The help center also warns that feedback sent only in chat "won't stop the content from being automatically accepted after the review window closes." So if something needs to change, we'd put it in a revision request rather than a chat message.
How long a video takes, and who buys the product
JoinBrands' pricing page says most brands start receiving content within 3 to 7 days of launching a campaign, depending on how fast the product reaches the creator and how complex the brief is. Its help center gives a creator 10 days to make the content once they've been approved and have the product.
You can ship the product yourself or run a reimbursement job, where the creator buys it from the marketplace and JoinBrands adds sales tax to the product price, based on your marketplace. JoinBrands' help center describes the timing of that money in two ways.
- The article on the reimbursement option says you "reimburse them upfront when the job kicks off."
- The article on canceling these jobs says "A reimbursement is only paid when the job is completed," and that if you cancel after the creator has bought the product, their earnings for the job come back to you automatically while the product reimbursement is put on hold.
For TikTok Shop reimbursement campaigns, JoinBrands says its creators are told to buy the product as a regular purchase, never as a refundable sample, and "never to request a refund from TikTok and keep the product."
JoinBrands' plans and fees
Prices as of October 30, 2026.
JoinBrands sells three paid plans on top of a pay-as-you-go plan it calls Free. The plan you pick sets your platform fee, the monthly credit you get toward creator pay, the highest resolution you can download and how many revisions you get per job.
| Plan | Per month | Per month, billed annually | Platform fee | Roll Over Cash a month (monthly billing) | Highest resolution | Revisions per job |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go (Free) | No subscription | No subscription | 15% | $0 | Full HD | 1 |
| Start-up | $99 | $89 | 12% | $30 | 4K | 2 |
| Pro | $299 | $269 | 10% | $90 | 4K | 3 |
| Max | $499 | $449 | 8% | $150 | 4K | 10 |
Annual billing takes 10% off. The annual prices in the table come from a plain-text summary JoinBrands publishes for AI assistants, which still calls Pro and Max by their older names, Brand and Agency.
Roll Over Cash is a monthly credit that JoinBrands applies to your creator payments. The help center says the credits stack and "don't expire while you're on a paid plan," and the pricing page says you lose the balance only if you cancel your subscription or move to the pay-as-you-go plan. If you spend all of it, $30 of Start-up's $99 a month goes back toward creator pay.
Where JoinBrands' pages disagree
JoinBrands' pricing page and its help center give different answers in two places.
| What | Pricing page | Help center |
|---|---|---|
| Creators behind the TikTok Shop outreach agents | 4M+ verified creators | 3M+ creators, in the plan article's list for Start-up |
| How the platform fee is charged | "a percentage added to each creator payment" | "applied to the total amount paid to creators" |
We've left the product, its shipping and any reimbursement out of every JoinBrands and Billo total we give.
Watermarks, white labels and an MCP server
Max is the only plan with custom watermarks. JoinBrands' help center says they're part of its white-label features, which let an agency put its own watermark on the content previews it shares with clients.
JoinBrands also runs an MCP server. Its help center says the server "lets brands interact with JoinBrands directly from Claude (claude.ai on the web and the desktop app), Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and other AI tools that support MCP." Novoads has an MCP connector too. You sign in to it with OAuth and don't need an API key. We made the talking-actor ad in the next section through it. Our comparison of AI video MCP servers goes through the connectors built for making ads.
What one JoinBrands video costs, worked out
JoinBrands' pricing article, last updated October 24, 2026, sets the default for a basic UGC video job (a how-to, unboxing, product review or product demo) at $60 in the US marketplace. You can lower it to the floor and no further. The article sets the floor at $50 or the default, whichever is lower, in your marketplace's currency. So in a pay-per-job campaign, you can't price a UGC video job below $50.
We added each plan's platform fee to the job price to get what one basic video job costs a brand, before the card fee, the product and its shipping.
| Plan | Platform fee | Job at the $60 default | Job at the $50 floor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pay-as-you-go (Free) | 15% | $69.00 | $57.50 |
| Start-up | 12% | $67.20 | $56.00 |
| Pro | 10% | $66.00 | $55.00 |
| Max | 8% | $64.80 | $54.00 |
The 3.5% card fee applies only to the part of the cost charged to your card. Charge a whole pay-as-you-go job at the floor to a card, and $57.50 becomes $59.51.
A plan cuts the fee, but you pay for it every month. By our math, one default job a month on Start-up comes to $136.20, with the $30 credit spent on it. Counting only the fee savings, and assuming you spend each month's credit, we figure each plan pays for itself at about these volumes.
| Plan | Per month | Roll Over Cash back | Default-price jobs a month for the fee saving to cover the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Start-up | $99 | $30 | About 38 |
| Pro | $299 | $90 | About 70 |
| Max | $499 | $150 | About 83 |
Below those volumes, you'd be subscribing for what the plans add, like 4K downloads, more revisions and the outreach agents.
The "$25+" on the pricing page
JoinBrands' pricing page lists UGC Videos at "$25+" on every plan. That figure matches the Social Blast bundle in its help center, where a TikTok package of 100 posts costs $25.00 a post. The smallest package, 10 posts, costs $40.00 a post. JoinBrands charges a Blast campaign in full when you create it. The help center adds that per-post pricing varies by content type and that its TikTok packages are examples.
We read the "$25+" as that 100-post Blast price per TikTok. The pricing article says its defaults and minimums apply only to pay-per-job campaigns, so we wouldn't take the "$25+" as the price of one pay-per-job video. The $50 floor isn't the least any JoinBrands video can cost either. A Blast pack, extra content a creator offers at a discounted rate and the AI Video option each have their own price.
Creator level, video length and the creator's cut
Two choices push a job above the default. The first is the creator level you target, which adds a percentage to the job's price.
| Creator level you target | Basic UGC video (how-to, unboxing, product review, product demo) | Advanced UGC video (green screen, B-roll, custom video) |
|---|---|---|
| Intermediate | +50% | +50% |
| Advanced | +100% | +150% |
At the $60 default, an intermediate creator's basic video comes to $90 before the fee. An advanced creator's comes to $120.
Longer videos cost more too. The article's example for a how-to video starts from a 15-second baseline and adds a percentage as the video gets longer.
- 10% more at 30 seconds
- 20% more at 60 seconds
- 50% more at 180 seconds or longer
The article lists the level and length increases separately, so we've kept them apart and haven't combined them in any total.
The creator doesn't keep the whole job price either. JoinBrands' creator earnings article says its listed amounts are "before the platform fee (20% for free creators, 15% for creator pro)." On a $60 job, we work out that a creator on JoinBrands' free creator plan keeps $48. Add the brand's 15% fee on a pay-as-you-go job paid from the wallet, and JoinBrands' two fees on that job add up to $21.
One JoinBrands job next to one Novoads talking-actor ad
You're buying two different things here. With a JoinBrands job, you're paying a person to film your physical product in their own space and in their own voice. A Novoads talking-actor ad is an AI actor reading your script to the camera, with no product to ship and no creator to recruit.
In Novoads, a talking-actor ad costs 200 credits for each started minute at 720p. Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, so one such ad takes all of them. Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits.
| In Novoads | Credits | On Starter | On Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Talking-actor ad at 720p, one started minute | 200 | $15.00 | $9.80 |
| 5-second Kling v3 Pro clip | 10 | 75 cents | 49 cents |
A talking-actor ad at 480p costs 100 credits. On Plus, that's $4.90.
Against those prices, a pay-as-you-go JoinBrands job at the floor ($57.50 by our math) costs almost six times what a 720p talking-actor ad costs on Plus. At the default, it's about seven times. Even on Starter, where one ad takes the whole month's credits, the ad costs about a quarter of that floor job.
There's one place where JoinBrands costs less. Its AI Video option turns images from your campaign into a portrait video for $5 a generation, and a rerun counts as a new generation at another $5. That's less than a 720p talking-actor ad costs on Starter or Plus. We couldn't find the model behind it, or how long the video runs, on any JoinBrands page we read. A 5-second Kling clip in Novoads still costs less than that $5.

Talking actor in Novoads at 720p. A stock actor with a handheld mic read our 14-second soy-candle script word for word, rendered 2026-10-09 in 1 min 33 s and billed 200 credits for one started minute.
That ad covers the on-camera part of a JoinBrands job (a person reading a product script to the camera). There's no candle in her hands, because no product was shipped to anyone.
JoinBrands or Billo for one basic video
Billo's pricing guide, published October 9, 2026, says "Billo videos start at $99 per video." Billo includes two revisions within your brief, and the guide says you pay separately for your product, its shipping and any add-ons you choose. We've put a basic Billo video next to a JoinBrands job with no plan.
| JoinBrands, basic UGC video job, no plan | Billo, basic creator video | |
|---|---|---|
| Price before the product and its shipping | $69.00 at the $60 default, $57.50 at the $50 floor (our arithmetic) | From $99 |
| Revisions | 1 per job (up to 10 on Max) | 2 within your brief |
| What the price covers | The creator's pay plus the 15% platform fee | A basic creator video |
| How soon content arrives | Most brands within 3 to 7 days of launch, says JoinBrands' pricing page | In our Billo pricing post |
By our math, Billo's $99 starting price is $30 more than a pay-as-you-go JoinBrands job at the default. At JoinBrands' floor, the gap grows to $41.50. So for one basic video, JoinBrands costs less on these numbers, though Billo includes one more revision than JoinBrands gives without a plan. Our Billo pricing breakdown covers Billo's turnaround and the options that raise its price, and our list of Billo alternatives sets Billo beside other platforms.
Can you run JoinBrands footage as an ad?
Usage rights, and when they pass to you
JoinBrands describes your rights to the footage in three places.
- Its pricing page says that when you buy any content, "you will acquire unlimited usage rights."
- The plain-text summary it publishes for AI assistants says brands "own all created content indefinitely with full licensing and distribution rights."
- Its terms set when that happens. On full payment, the terms say, "all rights to such Creator's Content shall be transferred by Creator to you," and before that "you will not receive a right to use such Creator's Content in any manner."
Spark Ad and Partnership Ad codes
For TikTok and TikTok Shop campaigns, the pricing page says you automatically get the creator's Spark Ad code once the campaign is complete, which lets you boost their post as a paid TikTok ad from their account. For Instagram, it says "every completed post comes with a Partnership Ad code (formerly Branded Content)," which gives you permission to run the creator's content as a paid Instagram or Facebook ad through Meta Ads Manager.
The AI clause in the terms, and Amazon videos
JoinBrands' terms tell creators that "Content you create and sell on JoinBrands may be used by brands and by JoinBrands in AI tools, including training models and generating new content."
For Amazon Shoppable videos, the creator uploads the video to their Amazon influencer account, and JoinBrands' Amazon article says it "must stay live on the creator's account for at least 14 days." After those 14 days, the job is marked as completed, and you can download the video from your campaign.
Is JoinBrands legit?
Who runs it
JoinBrands' about page says it was "born in 2021" and names three co-founders, Leo Limin, Ian Sells and Johan Geuze. JoinBrands' summary for AI assistants gives their roles as CEO, COO and CTO. Its terms give the company's address as Join Brands, 1621 Central Ave, Cheyenne, Wyoming, in the US.
Ratings and reviews
These were JoinBrands' public ratings on October 30, 2026.
| Where | Rating | Based on | What it rates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trustpilot | TrustScore 4.4 | 289 reviews | JoinBrands |
| App Store | 4.6 out of 5 | 889 ratings | JoinBrands' creator app |
| Google Play | 4.1 | 205 reviews | The same creator app |
Of the Trustpilot reviews, 82% were five-star and 7% were one-star. Trustpilot showed the profile as claimed in June 2022.
A five-star review from Health Marketing UK on October 5, 2026, says "Joinbrands is such a simple platform to use." Two one-star reviews are written from the brand side. Brian Shen's, edited on September 17, 2026, opens "ATTENTION BRANDS - BEWARE OF REFUNDABLE SAMPLES ON THIS PLATFORM - CREATORS CAN SCAM YOU." Chad Hart Inertia's, from July 13, 2026, says that "From a brand standpoint (I own one) this platform is a complete waste of your time." A two-star review from July 16, 2026, says "they ask for 50EUR to start."
Both app-store ratings are for JoinBrands' creator app, JoinBrands: UGC Creator Jobs, which creators use to find jobs. G2, Capterra and GetApp weren't visible to us that day, so we don't give a score from any of them.
Refunds, canceling and getting your money out
JoinBrands' refund policy and pricing page set out what you can get back, and when.
- "All subscription plans purchased on JoinBrands are non-refundable," the refund policy says.
- A downgrade takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle, and the pricing page says monthly plans have no lock-in contracts.
- On a regular campaign, you can cancel a job once it enters Late Status and get a refund on that job. The policy says the refunded amount is credited back to your account and typically takes about 10 days to appear on your statement.
- Blast charges are final once the campaign launches.
- Extra content you buy can't be refunded.
You can withdraw money from your JoinBrands wallet through PayPal, with a minimum withdrawal of $10.00.

Who JoinBrands is for, and where Novoads fits instead
When JoinBrands is the better fit
We think JoinBrands is the better choice when one of these is true.
- You need a real person with your physical product on camera. Its creators either receive the product or buy it.
- The creator's own account is part of the plan. TikTok campaigns come with Spark Ad codes, and Instagram posts come with Partnership Ad codes.
- You sell on Amazon or TikTok Shop. JoinBrands runs Amazon Shoppable video jobs and TikTok Shop campaigns.
- Your ads are in English, like the vast majority of JoinBrands content.
Our post on UGC creator rates has the ranges creators charge when you hire them directly, and our roundup of UGC platforms for brands sets JoinBrands beside the other ways brands find creators.
What slows it down for ad testing
If you're testing a lot of ads, the rules in JoinBrands' help center set your pace.
- Each video needs the product shipped or bought first.
- The creator has up to 10 days to deliver once the product arrives.
- Revisions depend on your plan, from one per job without a plan to ten on Max.
- Testing many hooks for one product means paying for each version a creator films, and waiting for each one.
Our guide on how to create UGC ads and our comparison of AI and human UGC creators go through that trade-off.
JoinBrands next to Novoads
Novoads is software you pay for from the first month, with no creator in the loop. You write the script, pick one of our AI actors and get the ad back. Our candle ad came back in 1 minute 33 seconds. We bill a talking-actor ad by the started minute, so that 14-second ad cost the same 200 credits as a full minute. Our pricing FAQ says "All videos generated with Novoads are fully licensed for commercial use."
What you don't get is a real customer holding your real product, or a post on a creator's account to boost. Novoads makes the ad, and you decide where it runs. Our plans and what each one includes are on our pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is JoinBrands a legit company?
JoinBrands publishes its fees, refund policy and pricing rules in a public help center, and its terms list a business address in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Its about page says the company was born in 2021 and names three co-founders. On October 30, 2026, Trustpilot showed it at 4.4 from 289 reviews. Of those, 82% were five-star and 7% were one-star. The complaints we read from the brand side were about refundable samples and whether the platform is worth it for brands.
How does JoinBrands work?
You post a campaign, pick an objective, a content type and a package, and set the price per job. Creators apply, and you either ship the product to the creator you hire or run a reimbursement job, where they buy it themselves. JoinBrands' team checks each video against your brief before you review it, and your payment stays in escrow until you approve. Its pricing page says most brands start receiving content within 3 to 7 days of launching a campaign.
Is JoinBrands or Billo better?
For one basic video, JoinBrands costs less, going by the two companies' own numbers. Billo's pricing guide says its videos start at $99. But Billo includes two revisions within your brief, while JoinBrands gives one per job without a plan.
How much does one UGC video cost on JoinBrands?
JoinBrands' help center sets one UGC video job at $60 by default in its US marketplace, and you can lower it to a $50 floor. That price is what the creator earns.
