Higgsfield vs OpenArt for Ads: Plans and 5-Second Clip Costs

Higgsfield is the cheaper way to start making ads

If you want to test a few ads this month, Higgsfield's Starter is the cheaper way in. It already allows commercial use, while OpenArt keeps that for Plus and up. If you're going to make dozens of short Kling 3.0 clips, the two Plus plans come out even, at about 35 cents a clip by our math. And if your ad needs Seedance 2.0, you're on Plus either way, because Higgsfield's Starter doesn't include that model and OpenArt's Starter doesn't allow commercial use.

We haven't used Higgsfield or OpenArt ourselves, and we don't have an account with either. Everything we say about them comes from their own pages and their public Trustpilot ratings, all read on October 28, 2026. We read their pages from Spain without signing in, which is why Higgsfield showed us euros. The Novoads section near the end uses our own prices and our own render.

What each plan costs and whether it allows ads

Prices as of October 28, 2026. Higgsfield quoted us euros and OpenArt quoted us dollars, so the two halves of this table are in different currencies.

Higgsfield Starter€19€19 a month270Yes
Higgsfield Plus€59€47 a month1,200Yes
Higgsfield Ultra€129€99 a month3,000Yes
OpenArt Starter$14$13 a month4,000No
OpenArt Plus$34$27 a month12,000Yes
OpenArt Pro$56$44 a month24,000Yes
OpenArt Wonder$240$175 a month106,000Yes

The credit counts don't line up either, because a Higgsfield credit buys far more video than an OpenArt one. We price the same clip on both further down.

The Higgsfield price list we were shown

Higgsfield doesn't show every visitor the same plans. It picks one of several price lists depending on where you're browsing from and what device you're using, so you might see a cheaper Starter, or plans named Basic, Pro and Max. We compare those lists side by side in our Higgsfield pricing breakdown.

As a desktop visitor from Spain, we got Starter at €19 a month for 270 credits, and paying for a year up front didn't lower the price. Plus was €59 a month for 1,200 credits. Billed annually, it came to €47 a month. Ultra started at €129 a month for 3,000 credits. It also comes in bigger sizes, up to 9,000 credits a month.

We couldn't see what visitors in the US get. The only Higgsfield list we have in dollars comes from its own post of October 18, 2026, which gives these monthly prices.

  • Starter, $15 a month for 200 credits
  • Plus, $49 a month for 1,000 credits
  • Ultra, $129 a month for 3,000 credits

Every Higgsfield price we give in dollars comes from that list.

OpenArt's four plans

OpenArt showed us dollars, and its plans run from Starter at $14 a month to Wonder at $240 a month. Each paid plan's card lists Director, OpenArt MCP and watermark-free output, along with access to 100+ premium image, video and audio models. The cards estimate up to about 50 videos a month on Starter and about 150 on Plus, not counting Director.

Commercial use rights show up on the Plus, Pro and Wonder cards but not on Starter, which matches OpenArt's terms, last updated July 30, 2026.

OpenArt was running two promotions that day. Kling 4.0 generations were half off on Wonder and Pro until November 20. Wonder also came with unlimited Flux 3 videos at 720p until October 31. We cover OpenArt's refills, add-ons and refund rules in our OpenArt pricing guide.

Free accounts, watermarks and commercial use

Higgsfield's Free plan comes with no monthly credits. According to its help center, everything you generate on a free account carries a Higgsfield watermark, and paid plans come without one.

On commercial use, Higgsfield's own pages don't agree. The comparison table on its pricing page marks commercial use as not included on Free and included on every paid plan. But its help center, updated September 12, 2026, says its Terms of Use don't restrict commercial use of outputs for any user. Either way, free output carries the watermark. We'd treat Starter as Higgsfield's first plan for ads.

OpenArt gives a new account 40 trial credits to use within seven days, according to its FAQ. Its terms say output on a free plan may carry a visible OpenArt watermark, which you're not allowed to remove. The same terms allow non-commercial use on every level and add commercial use from Plus up.

Which models come with each plan

Higgsfield saves Seedance 2.0 for Plus

Higgsfield's October 18 post says Starter includes only selected models, such as Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini. The comparison table on its pricing page marks Seedance 2.0 at 720p as not included on Starter. Each video row on that table gives a credit estimate per five seconds and a monthly clip count for each plan. The counts in this list are for the Starter and Plus we were shown.

  • Seedance 2.0 at 720p, about 22 credits, not included on Starter, 53 clips a month on Plus
  • Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p, about 12 credits, 21 clips a month on Starter
  • Kling 3.0 at 720p, about 7 credits, 36 clips a month on Starter and 160 on Plus
  • Kling 3.0 at 1080p, about 8 credits, not included on Starter, 137 clips a month on Plus

The Kling rows don't say which mode they're for or whether audio is on. Higgsfield's other price lists give different clip counts, because their plans come with different credit grants.

OpenArt lists the same models on every paid plan

Every paid OpenArt card, Starter included, lists the same access to 100+ premium image, video and audio models, and OpenArt's site menu names Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 among its video models. So on OpenArt, the plan you choose sets how many credits you get and whether you can use the output in ads, while the models listed on the cards stay the same from Starter up.

OpenArt shows a video's credit cost before you generate it, but without an account we couldn't see that number for any model. For what Seedance 2.0 costs through its API and in other apps, see our Seedance 2.0 pricing post.

What the same five-second clip costs on each

We priced two clips on each, one with Seedance 2.0 and one with Kling 3.0, both five seconds long at 720p. The Higgsfield figures come from the comparison table on its pricing page, and we worked out the OpenArt ones from a test OpenArt ran itself. The Higgsfield dollar figures all use the October 18 list.

Plan, five seconds at 720pSeedance 2.0Kling 3.0Commercial use
Higgsfield Starter ($15 list)Not included$0.53 to $0.56Yes
Higgsfield Plus ($49 list)$1.08 to $1.10$0.34 to $0.37Yes
OpenArt Starter ($14)About $1.40About $0.43No
OpenArt Plus ($34)About $1.13About $0.35Yes

Seedance 2.0 on each Plus plan

Higgsfield's pricing table lists this clip at about 22 credits, and the number of clips it says each plan buys fits 22.5 credits a clip. OpenArt's figure comes from a post about a test it ran itself in May 2026. The test put this clip at $0.45 on Wonder, which cost $120 a month billed yearly at the time. Wonder came with 106,000 credits then, the same as now, so by our math the clip used about 400 credits. The same post says OpenArt's $7 plan at the time came to about $0.70 a clip. That also works out to about 400 credits.

  • Higgsfield Plus as we were shown it, 22 to 22.5 credits × €59 ÷ 1,200 credits = about €1.08 to €1.11, or €0.86 to €0.88 billed annually
  • Higgsfield Plus on its dollar list, 22 to 22.5 credits × $49 ÷ 1,000 credits = about $1.08 to $1.10
  • OpenArt Plus, 400 credits × $34 ÷ 12,000 credits = about $1.13, or $0.90 billed annually
  • OpenArt Starter, 400 credits × $14 ÷ 4,000 credits = about $1.40, with no commercial use

Higgsfield's own Seedance 2.0 pricing post, updated October 25, 2026, gives a higher number. It prices an eight-second clip at this resolution at 48 credits. Scaled down to five seconds, that's about 30 credits. On the $49 Plus plan, that comes to about $1.47 a clip. The two Higgsfield pages don't agree, and we couldn't see what the generator itself charges, so check the credit cost on the Generate button before you render.

So which Plus is cheaper for Seedance 2.0? That depends on which Higgsfield page you go by. Higgsfield's table makes its own Plus a few cents cheaper per clip than OpenArt's, while its pricing post makes OpenArt's Plus the cheaper one.

Kling 3.0 on the entry plans and on Plus

Higgsfield's table lists this Kling 3.0 clip at about 7 credits, and its clip counts per plan work out to 7.5. Unlike Seedance 2.0, it's included on Higgsfield's Starter. OpenArt's May test put this clip, without audio, at $0.14 on Wonder, which comes to about 124 credits by our math.

  • Higgsfield Starter as we were shown it, 7 to 7.5 credits × €19 ÷ 270 credits = about €0.49 to €0.53
  • Higgsfield Starter on its dollar list, 7 to 7.5 credits × $15 ÷ 200 credits = about $0.53 to $0.56
  • Higgsfield Plus as we were shown it, 7 to 7.5 credits × €59 ÷ 1,200 credits = about €0.34 to €0.37
  • Higgsfield Plus on its dollar list, 7 to 7.5 credits × $49 ÷ 1,000 credits = about $0.34 to $0.37
  • OpenArt Starter, 124 credits × $14 ÷ 4,000 credits = about $0.43, with no commercial use
  • OpenArt Plus, 124 credits × $34 ÷ 12,000 credits = about $0.35, or $0.28 billed annually

For Kling 3.0, the two Plus plans tie at about 35 cents a clip. Higgsfield's Starter costs more per clip, but of the two entry plans, it's the only one that allows ads.

What could change these numbers

  • We couldn't see OpenArt's per-model prices, so both OpenArt figures assume a clip still costs as many credits as it did in May 2026.
  • Higgsfield's pricing table and its Seedance 2.0 pricing post disagree at 720p, and we didn't see either one actually charged.
  • The credit grants and clip counts depend on which Higgsfield price list you're shown.
  • On annual billing, Higgsfield's table counts clips per year, so check the billing period before you compare counts.

The ad tools on each platform

Higgsfield's ad generator page says, "Drop an e-commerce URL and get a product ad." An app URL gets you a UGC video of someone demoing your screen instead. The same page says its UGC ads include talking heads, product reviews, tutorials, unboxings and virtual try-ons, and it also lists TV spots and CGI product showcases.

Higgsfield describes Marketing Studio in a help center article updated October 26, 2026. Marketing Studio's Product shot, Ads and Marketplace templates make images, and its UGC, Motion and TikTok templates make videos. Ads that feature a person use avatars.

On the comparison table, a feature called Higgsfield ads comes with every plan, Free included, while the UGC builder starts at Plus. We compare Higgsfield's product-to-ad flow with Runway's in Runway vs Higgsfield.

On OpenArt, you build ads in Director

OpenArt's Director has modes for UGC ads, product ads and branding ads, and every paid plan includes it. Character Builder is OpenArt's tool for AI characters that stay consistent across scenes, and the cards allow up to about 13 consistent characters on Starter and 40 on Plus. OpenArt MCP and its CLI let you generate images and video from inside an AI agent, and MCP comes with every paid plan.

If you want to paste a product page and get an ad back, that's the workflow Higgsfield describes. On OpenArt, you'd start in one of Director's ad modes instead.

How each one rates on Trustpilot

We read both Trustpilot profiles on October 28, 2026.

  • Higgsfield scored 4.0 ("Great") from 5,200 reviews, 19% of them one-star, and it had replied to 96% of negative reviews.
  • OpenArt scored 3.5 ("Average") from 1,636 reviews, 30% of them one-star, and it had replied to 52% of negative reviews.

Higgsfield has about three times as many reviews and a smaller share of one-star ones. Scores like these change every day, so treat them as a snapshot. In our OpenArt review, we go through what OpenArt's reviewers complain about and check those complaints against OpenArt's own billing rules.

How Novoads prices the same two clips

Novoads makes UGC-style video ads from a product image or a script, with an AI actor you pick. We charge in the same credit unit Higgsfield uses, so our credit counts line up with its table. Our Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, billed monthly only. Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits. Billed annually, it's $39 a month. With Novoads, you pay from the first month, and every plan is on our pricing page.

Two of our prices match the clips above.

  • Kling v3 Pro for five seconds is 10 credits, which comes to $0.75 on Starter and $0.49 on Plus
  • Seedance 2.0 for five seconds at 720p is 23 credits, which comes to about $1.73 on Starter and about $1.13 on Plus

Going by their own numbers, a Kling clip costs less on Higgsfield and on OpenArt than it does on Novoads. Their Plus plans come to about 35 cents a clip, against 49 cents on our Plus. For Seedance 2.0, our Plus price of about $1.13 matches our estimate for OpenArt's Plus and is a few cents above Higgsfield's table figure. Seedance 2.0 also comes with our Starter, where our pricing page counts about 8 Seedance 2.0 videos a month. On Higgsfield, you need Plus for it.

Which one to pick for your next ad test

When Higgsfield is the better pick

  • You want to test a few ads on the smallest monthly bill that still allows commercial use.
  • You'd rather paste a product or app link and get an ad back.
  • You'll mostly use Kling 3.0 at 720p, which Higgsfield's Starter includes.

When OpenArt is the better pick

  • You're buying a Plus plan anyway and like OpenArt's estimate of up to about 150 videos a month for $34.
  • You want Director's ad modes, or to generate from an AI agent through OpenArt MCP.
  • You'd like to look around first with OpenArt's 40 trial credits over seven days.

If neither fits, we price the same kind of clip on other tools in our OpenArt alternatives for ads. Whichever you pick, compare the credit cost the generator shows on your first clip with the figures here before you move up to a bigger plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which is cheaper, OpenArt or Higgsfield?

Higgsfield is the cheaper place to start making ads, because its cheapest paid plan already includes commercial use, while on OpenArt commercial use starts at Plus, which costs $34 a month. Once you're on Plus, a five-second Kling 3.0 clip comes to about 35 cents on either. Higgsfield's figure comes from its pricing table, and we worked out OpenArt's from a test OpenArt ran in May 2026. We read both price lists on October 28, 2026.

Can you use OpenArt Starter videos in ads?

No. OpenArt's terms, last updated July 30, 2026, allow non-commercial use on every level and add commercial use from Plus up. Its pricing page lists commercial use rights on the Plus, Pro and Wonder cards, but not on Starter.

Does Higgsfield's free plan allow commercial use?

Higgsfield's own pages don't agree. The comparison table on its pricing page marks commercial use as not included on Free and included on every paid plan, but its help center says its Terms of Use don't restrict commercial use of outputs for any user. Either way, everything you generate on a free account carries a Higgsfield watermark. We'd make ads on a paid plan.

Which Higgsfield plan do you need for Seedance 2.0?

Plus. Higgsfield says Starter includes only selected models, such as Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini, and its pricing table lists Seedance 2.0 at 720p from Plus up. The table puts a five-second clip at about 22 credits. Higgsfield's own Seedance 2.0 pricing post implies about 30 for the same length, so check the generator's figure before you render.

Key Takeaways

  • Higgsfield's pricing table includes commercial use on every paid plan, Starter included, while OpenArt's terms only grant it from Plus up.
  • Higgsfield shows visitors different price lists, so the plan names and credits you see may not match the ones we saw.
  • For Seedance 2.0 ads you need Plus on either site, because Higgsfield's Starter doesn't include the model and OpenArt's Starter doesn't allow commercial use.
  • On either Plus plan, a five-second Kling 3.0 clip comes to about 35 cents by our math.
  • Higgsfield's pricing table and its own Seedance 2.0 pricing post disagree on what a 720p clip costs, so check the generator's figure before you render.
