Tagshop AI Review: What One Ad Costs on the $29 Starter Plan
Tagshop AI lists its Starter plan at $29 a month for 50 credits. We turn its credit rates into a dollar price for one 30-second ad, walk through its refund terms and ratings, and price the same ad in Novoads, all as of October 31, 2026.

Tagshop's $29 plan buys one 30-second Seedance 2.5 ad
Tagshop AI lists its Starter plan at $29 a month for 50 credits on its English pricing page, billed monthly. That works out to 58 cents a credit ($29 divided by 50). Tagshop's help center charges 15 credits for a 30-second video at 720p on Wan 3.0. On Seedance 2.5, the same video is 39 credits. By our arithmetic, that puts one ad at $8.70 on Wan 3.0 and $22.62 on Seedance 2.5.
Yearly billing cuts those figures roughly in half, and Tagshop is cheaper than we are for a talking ad of your own face. On monthly billing, though, the same Wan 3.0 ad costs less on Novoads, on either of our first two plans.
We didn't test Tagshop for this post. Its figures come from its own pricing page, help center and terms, and from its public Trustpilot profile, read October 31, 2026. Our side comes from the Novoads credit schedule and a render we made in October.
What Tagshop makes and who runs it
Tagshop describes itself as an AI-powered UGC video ad generator for D2C brands, ecommerce stores, agencies and SaaS companies. Its help center lists eight ways to start a video, and the four you're most likely to use are URL to Video, the AI Video Agent, Ad Clone and AI Twin.
Starting from a link, a chat or another ad
The first three start from something you already have.
- URL to Video takes a product page link and builds a UGC-style ad from it. Tagshop says it reads pages from Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce and WordPress.
- The AI Video Agent is the chat route. You describe the ad, and the agent handles the script, the visuals and the generation. On October 31, 2026, a banner on the pricing page was announcing AI Video Agent 2.0.
- Ad Clone starts from an existing ad, and Tagshop says it recreates that ad's structure with your own product and avatar.
Once the ad's finished, you can connect a TikTok Ads or Meta Ads account and publish without leaving Tagshop. Novoads makes the ad, and you publish it yourself. If you want a single tool for everything from script to campaign, that's a real point in Tagshop's favor.
Avatars, and your own face
Tagshop gives you four kinds of avatar.
- A library avatar, picked from its collection
- An AI Twin, made from one photo of yourself
- A custom avatar, generated from a text prompt
- An avatar generated holding or wearing your product
Its help center and pricing page list 300+ library avatars, while its about page says "over 1000 avatars, including animated and human options." We'd count on the lower number, since that's the one tied to the plans.
Tagshop's pricing page says its avatars can hold and present your product. The help center's method is to generate an image of the avatar with the product and then turn that image into a talking ad. In Novoads, a stock talking actor's hands are empty, so to show the product in hand you'd make a custom actor from a photo of someone holding it.
An AI Twin costs 1 credit to set up. Its help article, dated September 24, 2026, lists two limits worth knowing up front. There's no direct setting for how expressive the face is, though you can change the voice's style exaggeration. And in the article's words, "AI Twins cannot currently be deleted once they have been generated." We'd think twice before making one of a teammate who might leave.
The models on its plans
Tagshop's model guide, dated September 10, 2026, says "all models are accessible across paid plans." It also says the system picks a model for you unless you choose one. Since the model sets the credit price, we'd pick it ourselves.
On October 31, 2026, the pricing page said Kling 4.0 was live and labeled Wan 3.0 as new. The guide calls Wan 3.0 the "strongest choice when lip-sync accuracy matters" and says it produces "accurate mouth movement for up to 30 seconds." Those are Tagshop's claims, and we haven't tested them.
Novoads doesn't offer Kling 4.0, so it stays on Tagshop's side of this review. Both tools offer Wan 3.0, so it's the model we use for the like-for-like price comparison below. If either model is new to you, we've written up what Wan 3.0 is and how to direct a 30-second Seedance 2.5 take.
Who runs it
Tagshop's privacy policy, effective April 15, 2025, says the service is "operated under Tagshop AI Private Limited" and gives a contact address in Covina, California. We didn't check the company's registration or where its team is based.
Tagshop's plans and prices
Prices as of October 31, 2026, as shown on Tagshop's English pricing page. The video counts are Tagshop's own, and we check them against its credit rates in the next section.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing, paid annually | Tagshop's video count | Top export | Video storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29 a month, 50 credits a month | $14 a month, 600 credits a year | Up to 5 a month | 1080p | 3 months |
| Growth | $69 a month, 150 credits a month | $39 a month, 1,800 credits a year | Up to 15 a month | 4K | 6 months |
| Pro | $129 a month, 300 credits a month | $79 a month, 3,600 credits a year | Up to 30 a month | 4K | 12 months |
What the yearly offer covers
That day, a banner on the page read "Limited-Time Offer Save Up to 51% on Yearly Plans" above a countdown. The offer covers yearly plans only, so the monthly column isn't discounted. Tagshop's plans article, dated September 10, 2026, lists the same saving as a standard feature of annual billing and says "We don't typically run promotional discounts." We read the banner as the usual yearly price with a deadline on top, though we can't promise that price will still be there when the countdown ends.
Yearly billing is a single payment, so Starter's $14 a month means paying $168 up front, by our arithmetic. Read the refund terms further down before you do.
The other prices you'll run into
A few of Tagshop's other pages can mislead a buyer.
- Its AI UGC creator page says "Paid plans start at $14/month and include unlimited generation, commercial licence, and 4K export." That $14 is the yearly Starter price. But the credits article says "There is no unlimited tier," and the export guide says "Starter exports up to 1080p."
- Its Seedance 2.0 page says "Plans start from $19/month." No plan on the pricing page matched that figure that day.
Tagshop also shows prices in other currencies. The plans article lists Starter at ₹2,499/month on monthly billing, and the Spanish pricing page shows €12 a month paid annually. We can't tell you which currency a given buyer is charged in or what tax gets added, and the terms say fees exclude taxes. So treat every figure here as the price shown on the page.
What Novoads' plans cost
Novoads' Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, and it's monthly only. Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits. Ultra starts at $129 for 3,000. A Novoads credit and a Tagshop credit aren't the same size, so you can't compare the credit counts directly. We price both sides in dollars per ad further down. You pay for Novoads from the first month.

How Tagshop's credits work
Tagshop charges credits by the second, at a rate set by the model and the resolution. Its credits article, dated September 24, 2026, lists what a 30-second video costs.
- Seedance 2.0 Fast at 480p, 12 credits
- Wan 3.0 at 720p, 15 credits
- Seedance 2.5 at 720p, 39 credits
- Seedance 2.0 at 1080p, 63 credits
- An AI Twin video, 7.5 credits
The article's rate table also puts Wan 3.0 at 0.3 credits a second at 480p, so by our arithmetic a video of the same length comes to 9 credits. At 1080p the rate is 1 credit a second, which makes it 30 credits.
Two sets of rates that don't match
Tagshop's site also publishes a models table, and its rates are lower. On October 31, 2026, that table listed 0.4 credits a second for Wan 3.0 at 720p, where the help center says 0.5. It listed 1 credit a second for Seedance 2.5 at 720p, where the help center says 1.3. At the table's rates, the two ads at the top of this post drop to 12 and 30 credits. On Starter monthly, that's $6.96 and $17.40.
We can't tell you which set the app actually uses, because we didn't run it. From here on we use the help center's rates, since that's the page Tagshop writes for its customers, and we point out where the lower rates change the answer.
What "up to 5 videos" comes to
Starter's "Upto 5 videos" works out to about 10 credits a video by our arithmetic, and Tagshop doesn't say how long those videos are. At 30 seconds, the only two options that fit inside 10 credits on the help center's rates are Wan 3.0 at 480p and an AI Twin video. At that length, one Starter month covers any one of these.
- Five Wan 3.0 videos at 480p (45 credits)
- Four Seedance 2.0 Fast videos at 480p (48 credits)
- Three Wan 3.0 videos at 720p (45 credits)
- One Seedance 2.5 video at 720p (39 credits)
- Six AI Twin videos (45 credits)
- No Seedance 2.0 video at 1080p, which needs 63 credits
Tagshop's export guide recommends 1080p for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. At that resolution, a Wan 3.0 video of the same length is 30 credits, or $17.40 on Starter monthly, so you'd get one a month.
What happens to credits you don't use
Tagshop's pages disagree here.
- Its credits article, dated September 24, 2026, says "unused credits do not roll over" on monthly plans.
- Its terms, effective April 15, 2025, say the same unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Its FAQ article, dated September 10, 2026, says "Credits roll over month-to-month."
We'd plan on monthly credits expiring, since the newest article and the terms agree. According to the credits article, credits on yearly plans stay valid for the full year.
If you run out, a Starter add-on gets you 20 credits, and Tagshop's site lists it at $20. That's a dollar a credit, against 58 cents inside the plan. The credits article itself says that if you keep running out, moving up a plan is likely more cost-effective.
The free plan and the trial that's gone
According to an article dated September 24, 2026, Tagshop's free plan gives you 5 one-time credits. That's enough for one 4-second watermarked test video or one AI product image. The plan also lets you make an AI Twin and one AI Twin video up to 15 seconds long, which we think is the better way to use those credits for a test.
The same article says the 14-day free trial is no longer available. A pricing article dated September 10, 2026 and the AI UGC creator page still offer a free trial with no credit card, but we'd go by the newer article. On a paid plan, you can make watermark-free videos up to 60 seconds long, and a video made on the free plan keeps its watermark after you upgrade.
The price we couldn't find
We couldn't find what a video with one of the 300+ library avatars costs in credits. The 30-second price list above covers models and the AI Twin, and none of the pages we read prices a library avatar. Tagshop's Agent article prices videos by model and resolution, and its testimonial guide has you make library-avatar videos in the Agent, so we'd expect the model rates to apply. But no page says so outright, and it's the video many buyers come for, so ask support before you budget.
What one 30-second ad costs on each side
Every Tagshop figure here is our own arithmetic. We divide the plan price by its credits and multiply by the help center's credit cost.
On Tagshop, plan by plan
Each line gives the price of one 30-second ad on Wan 3.0 at 720p, then on Seedance 2.5 at 720p, then as an AI Twin video.
- Starter monthly, at 58 cents a credit, comes to $8.70, $22.62 and $4.35
- Growth monthly, at 46 cents a credit, comes to $6.90, $17.94 and $3.45
- Pro monthly, at 43 cents a credit, comes to $6.45, $16.77 and $3.23
- Starter yearly, at 28 cents a credit, comes to $4.20, $10.92 and $2.10
- Growth yearly, at 26 cents a credit, comes to $3.90, $10.14 and $1.95
- Pro yearly, at about 26 cents a credit, comes to $3.95, $10.27 and $1.98
At the models table's lower rates, the Wan 3.0 figure runs from $6.96 on Starter monthly down to $3.12 on Growth yearly. Either way, these figures assume you use every credit you pay for. Make a single ad on Starter monthly, and that ad costs you the whole $29 plan price that month.
Growth yearly has the lowest price per credit that Tagshop shows. Pro yearly costs slightly more per credit, so you'd choose it for the volume.
On Novoads
Our figures use $0.075 a credit on Starter and $0.049 on Plus, both billed monthly. Wan 3.0 isn't our default model, and a take on it stops at 15 seconds, so a 30-second ad is two takes cut together.
- Wan 3.0 at 720p, two 15-second takes, is 54 credits, or $4.05 on Starter and $2.65 on Plus
- Seedance 2.5 at 720p, one 30-second take, is 210 credits, or $10.29 on Plus (it doesn't fit Starter's 200 credits)
- A talking actor at 720p is 200 credits, or $15.00 on Starter and $9.80 on Plus
- A talking actor at 480p is 100 credits, or $7.50 on Starter and $4.90 on Plus
We bill talking-actor ads by the started minute, so a 30-second ad costs the same as a 60-second one. You can fit three of those Wan 3.0 ads into a Starter month, and 18 into Plus.
The strip below comes from a talking-actor ad we made on October 9, 2026, the kind of product read Tagshop sells its avatars for. Karen, a library actor, spends 15 seconds at a kitchen island talking through the switch to reusable silicone storage bags. It billed as one started minute, so those 15 seconds cost the same 200 credits that 60 would have.
Talking actor · Karen, a library actor, sells the swap to reusable silicone storage bags in a 15-second read · 200 credits at 720p · rendered 2026-10-09
Where Tagshop costs less, and where we do
By our arithmetic, Tagshop costs less in three places.
- It's cheaper for a talking ad of your own face. A 30-second AI Twin video is $4.35 on its Starter monthly plan. On Growth yearly, it's $1.95. Our talking actor, the closest thing we have, is $4.90 on Plus at 480p.
- Its yearly plans can beat our Starter on Wan 3.0. Ours comes to $4.05. Growth yearly and Pro yearly come in just under it, at $3.90 and $3.95. At the models table's lower rates, all three yearly plans beat it, from $3.12 to $3.36.
- On its entry plan you can make a 30-second Seedance 2.5 ad, and on ours you can't, because that take is 210 credits and our Starter comes with 200.
Tagshop also says its Wan 3.0 runs up to 30 seconds. Ours stops at 15, which leaves you two takes to cut together.
We cost less on monthly billing and on Plus.
- Wan 3.0 on our Plus plan, at $2.65, costs less than any Tagshop plan on either set of rates.
- Wan 3.0 on our Starter, at $4.05, costs less than all three of Tagshop's monthly plans, again on either set of rates.
- Seedance 2.5 on Plus is $10.29. On Tagshop's monthly plans, the same ad runs from $16.77 to $22.62.
On Seedance 2.5, Tagshop's yearly plans come out about level with Plus, at $10.14 to $10.92. At the models table's lower rates, they drop to $7.80 to $8.40, below Plus. But to get those lowest figures you pay for a year up front, which is $468 on Growth by our arithmetic. And this compares prices only, since we didn't test Tagshop's output.
What ratings and reviewers say
Tagshop doesn't have many public reviews on the sites we could read, so we'd treat every score below as a rough signal.
Trustpilot
On October 31, 2026, Trustpilot showed Tagshop AI at 4.2 from 18 reviews. Five-star reviews made up 78 percent and one-star reviews 11 percent. The profile was claimed in December 2025. It counts 14 reviews in the last 12 months and says the company hasn't replied to negative reviews. Trustpilot adds, "This company hasn't invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative."
Eighteen reviews is a small base, so one new review can move the score. And not all of them are about today's ad tool. Two reviews from July 2024 describe showing Instagram content on a store, and the profile carries a notice about merged reviews.
The recent praise is for the AI Video Agent. A five-star review dated August 4, 2026 is titled "One member from the team is enough to create ai ugc ads with AI video agent." Another, dated July 21, 2026, says "Tagshop AI agents are cutting our shooting time."
We found only a few complaints. A three-star review from the UK, dated March 11, 2026, finds the features useful. About the way images layer over the avatar in the editor, though, it says "This is a weakness and in my opinion seriously limits the use of this product." A one-star review from France, dated December 23, 2025, has only a title, "worst experience ever!!!" We won't read a pattern into two reviews.
Tagshop's own billing article, dated September 10, 2026, covers failed generations that took credits more than once. It says a team member will review the case and refund any credits deducted by mistake.
G2 and OMR Reviews
On October 31, 2026, we couldn't see G2's page, and OMR Reviews listed Tagshop AI with no reviews. So the only G2 figure we can give is Tagshop's own. Its help center claims "G2 Rating: 4.9 / 5 across 143+ verified reviews (2026)" in an article dated September 10, 2026, and we couldn't confirm that.
Is Tagshop good for ads?
We can't judge its output, since we didn't test it. On price and terms, we think it suits two kinds of buyer.
- A brand or agency that'll commit to a year, makes a lot of videos and wants one place to go from product link to published campaign
- A founder who wants to be the face of the ads, since the AI Twin is the cheapest talking video we could price there
On Starter monthly, it's a harder sell. Fifty credits buy one Seedance 2.5 ad, its pages don't tell you what a library-avatar video costs, and the credits you don't use probably expire.
If you're weighing it against similar tools, we've reviewed Creatify, MakeUGC and TopView, and our guide to AI actors explains how brands cast them. We've also priced what human UGC creators charge in case you're choosing between a tool and a person.
When Novoads is the better fit
You give Novoads a script or a product image, and it makes the ad on the model you pick. We think it's the better fit if you don't want to pay for a year up front to get a low price per ad, and if you don't mind cutting short clips together. It isn't the cheaper option for a talking ad of your own face. Our plans are on the pricing page.

Canceling and getting your money back
Tagshop's pricing page says you can cancel any time and your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle. Its cancellation article, dated September 23, 2026, walks through the steps. You go to Billing, click Cancel Subscription, give a reason and, once that's approved, choose how to leave.
- If you choose to end at the close of the term, you keep your access and remaining credits until the period ends. After that, you're moved to the Free Plan.
- If you cancel immediately, your access ends right away.
What Tagshop refunds
The terms, effective April 15, 2025, say all fees are final except where the law requires a refund, and the cancellation article repeats the cases below.
- Monthly plans aren't refunded once you've bought them.
- A yearly plan may be refunded only within 3 to 7 days of purchase, and only if you haven't used a single credit.
- A renewal you forgot to cancel isn't refunded.
- A product problem that stops you from using the platform is reviewed case by case. It needs documentation and approval, and a refund isn't guaranteed.
- If a video has real quality failures (random objects, audio issues, generation errors), you get its credits back once Tagshop's technical team verifies the problem.
To us, that's a reason to start on a monthly plan. The yearly prices are the ones that compete with ours, but using even one credit rules out a refund, so you can't try a yearly plan and then change your mind.
Keeping what you made
Tagshop stores videos for the periods in the table above and then deletes them permanently, so download anything you'll want to reuse before you cancel.
Tagshop's FAQ article says all plans include a commercial license. Its terms say you own your input and output, subject to third-party content it provides (stock, templates, music, avatars), which may have their own license terms. We'd read that avatar line closely before committing to a long campaign.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Tagshop AI free?
Not for full ads. Tagshop's free plan gives you 5 one-time credits. That's enough for one 4-second watermarked test video or one AI product image, and the plan also lets you make one AI Twin video up to 15 seconds long. A help article dated September 24, 2026 says the old 14-day free trial is no longer available, but an older article and one product page still mention a trial.
Key Takeaways
- On October 31, 2026, Tagshop AI's English pricing page listed its Starter plan at $29 a month for 50 credits, billed monthly. At the rates in Tagshop's help center, we put one 30-second ad at $8.70 on Wan 3.0 at 720p and $22.62 on Seedance 2.5.
- Tagshop publishes two sets of credit rates that don't match, and none of the pages we read says what a library-avatar video costs. Ask support before you budget.
- Yearly plans bring the same Wan 3.0 ad down to about $4 and a 30-second AI Twin video to as little as $1.95. For a talking ad of your own face, Tagshop clearly costs less than Novoads.
- On Novoads, a 30-second Wan 3.0 ad is two takes cut together. It comes to $4.05 on Starter or $2.65 on Plus. On Wan 3.0, Plus costs less than any Tagshop plan, whichever set of Tagshop's rates you go by.
- On October 31, 2026, Trustpilot showed a 4.2 rating from 18 reviews and warned they may not be representative. Monthly Tagshop plans aren't refundable once bought. Yearly plans are, but only within 3 to 7 days and only if you haven't used a credit.
