Haiper AI's App Is Gone: What Happened and Where Its Model Went
Haiper AI's app no longer opens, and its accounts say the company is "in the process of being wound up." We look at what Haiper was, what its filings show and what to use now.

Haiper's name still ranks, but its app went blank
Haiper AI was a video generator from London, made by two former Google DeepMind researchers. It turned text prompts and pictures into short clips. On November 1, 2026, haiper.ai opened to a blank page, the app's own address led to that same page, and the API address in Haiper's docs didn't answer. Haiper Limited's latest accounts say the company "is in the process of being wound up," and the UK register listed an active proposal to strike it off.
But several pages that still rank for the name describe Haiper as a tool you can sign up for and use. We read the UK company register and the filings on it, archive copies of Haiper's own pages, NetMind's pages and press reports, and we say so wherever we rely on the press. We didn't test NetMind's API for this post.
Two DeepMind researchers and a London video model
Haiper Limited and the people who ran it
Haiper Limited was incorporated on July 16, 2021, and its UK company number is 13515940. Haiper's own blog said the company was founded in late 2021 by Dr. Yishu Miao, its chief executive, and Dr. Ziyu Wang, its chief technology officer. The blog described both as Oxford machine learning PhDs and former researchers at Google DeepMind, and Haiper's about page added alumni from TikTok and top academic research labs to the founding team.
The register lists Miao and Wang as directors, both appointed on April 11, 2022. BusinessCloud, a UK business news site, called them the startup's co-founders in a March 2025 report on their move to Microsoft.
Haiper came out of stealth in March 2024. UKTN, a UK tech news site, reported on March 6, 2024, that it had raised $13.8 million, and Haiper's own year-end post called that a seed round. BusinessCloud reported that Octopus Ventures led the round. In that year-end post, dated December 2024, Haiper claimed 6.5 million users. It said they'd made over 52 million videos and images.
What Haiper's plans offered in March 2025
The last archive copy of Haiper's plans page, saved on March 5, 2025, showed yearly prices in US dollars, marked 20% off. All three plans carried a beta label, and an enterprise API was priced on request.
| Plan | Price | Credits | Watermark-free videos | Commercial use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free (beta) | $0 | 300, with 10 creations a day | No | No |
| Explorer (beta) | $8 a month, billed yearly | 1,500 a month, non-expiring | No | No |
| Pro (beta) | $24 a month, billed yearly | 5,000 a month, non-expiring | Yes | Yes |
Explorer and Pro also promised unlimited basic video creations, which the page defined as clips at 540p or 720p. Those basic clips were 2 or 4 seconds long. Haiper pitched membership with the line "Generate content without watermarks and use it commercially," but of the three plans, only Pro's card listed commercial use (the enterprise API's card did too). Since Haiper's plans page no longer exists, read these prices only as a record of what Haiper charged.
Haiper 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5
We traced three versions of Haiper's model and two partnerships along the way.
- On July 18, 2024, The Bridge, a Japanese tech site translating a VentureBeat report, wrote that Haiper 1.5 could make 8-second clips.
- On October 21, 2024, Haiper launched Haiper 2.0, calling it "the most powerful video model for hyper-realism and faster generations."
- On December 5, 2024, Haiper announced that it would power Civitai's first video generation service.
- On December 18, 2024, Haiper launched an API for its 2.5 model with VEED. That's the newest version we found.
Haiper's docs priced the app's video tools in credits. Those tools covered text to video, image to video, keyframe conditioning, video to video, an enhance step to 1080p and clip extension. The docs also priced a text-to-image model. Haiper's API made text-to-video clips of 4 or 6 seconds. It offered six aspect ratios, vertical 9:16 among them. Haiper also pitched the model for ads, writing in October 2024 that "you can create marketing ads with our Product Templates." We found no sound option anywhere in Haiper's docs, and the API's settings for a clip were a seed, an aspect ratio and a length.
From a blank app to a suspended strike-off
Early 2025, as users and reporters described it
We found no farewell post from Haiper, so what we know about early 2025 comes from a reviewer, archive copies and the press.
- On February 4, 2025, a one-star Trustpilot review said "they have also closed down their site." That's the earliest dated report of a closing we found, and it's one reviewer's account, which we couldn't verify.
- On February 24, 2025, the Internet Archive saved a copy of haiper.ai that still showed the app's page, though a saved page can't tell you whether the app worked that day.
- By March 21, 2025, the address redirected to a marketing page instead.
- On March 21, 2025, BusinessCloud reported that both founders had updated their LinkedIn profiles, which said they'd left the startup "to become members of Microsoft's technical staff."
- In May 2025, the last archive copy of the blog still showed no post newer than the year-end post of December 20, 2024.
Miao's profile, as BusinessCloud quoted it, read "After 3 years startup life with Haiper, I'm starting a new journey at Microsoft AI building multimodal generative AI!" BusinessCloud also noted that the register still listed the pair as active directors, and it still did when we read it. We found no statement from Microsoft about the move. The archive copies fit a closing in early 2025, but they can't pin down the date.
Haiper's unclaimed Trustpilot profile had 7 reviews when we read it on November 1, 2026. It scored 2.5 out of 5, which Trustpilot labels Poor.
Sifted, a European tech news site, has two articles on Haiper that we could only see as lines in search results. Sifted's articles are behind a wall, and we couldn't get archive copies of them. Search results summarizing Sifted say Haiper shut its consumer business in February 2025. Another result, from June 2025, says NetMind.AI bought Haiper's video model for an undisclosed sum and planned to hire some of its staff. No page we could read confirms either claim, and none of the NetMind pages we read mentions a purchase.
The accounts approved in February 2026
Haiper Limited's last accounts cover the period from August 1, 2024, to September 20, 2025. Their first note, on the company's statutory details, ends with the sentence "The company is in the process of being wound up."
- The board approved them on February 13, 2026, and Dr. Yishu Miao signed them as a director.
- The register shows they were filed on February 16, 2026, as micro-company accounts.
- They weren't audited, and they cite the small-company exemption as the reason.
- They put the bank balance at £2,465 on September 20, 2025, a sum that "will be withdrawn by the Director after the year-end period."
- They give an average of 0 employees for the period, compared with 15 the year before.
The previous accounts had also given 0 employees, for the year to July 2023. And Haiper's plans page was still up in March 2025, inside the latest period. So we wouldn't read those figures as a headcount.
The strike-off filings, March to May 2026
After the accounts, the register's filing history shows four steps.
- An application to strike the company off the register was filed on March 16, 2026.
- The first Gazette notice for voluntary strike-off followed on March 24, 2026.
- On April 21, 2026, the register recorded that the voluntary strike-off action had been suspended. The suspension notice says the Registrar had received an objection, but it doesn't say who objected.
- On May 22, 2026, the company filed a confirmation statement, made on May 12, 2026, that reported no updates.
Where the register stood when we checked
On November 1, 2026, the register gave Haiper Limited's status as active, with an active proposal to strike it off. It listed both founders as directors and no liquidator, and there was no liquidation filing in the filing history. We didn't find a winding-up notice in the parts of The Gazette we could reach. But the same search also missed the strike-off notice the register lists, so coming up empty there proves little.
As the register stood that day, Haiper Limited was an active company whose strike-off had been suspended. "Wound up" was a line in its own accounts, and the register didn't list it as the company's status.
NetMind is the only place we found the model listed
What NetMind lists, and what we didn't try
NetMind sells access to many AI models "through one unified API, one key, and one contract." On November 1, 2026, its model library listed a Haiper video model and a Haiper image model as paid APIs, under NetMind's own name rather than Haiper's.
- The video model is listed as HaiperVideo2.5. Its documented call takes a prompt, a resolution and a seed, with no length setting and no picture input.
- The image model is listed as HaiperImage1.0.
- The example clip NetMind gives for the video model has no sound.
- NetMind's pricing page lists HaiperVideo2.5 from $0.05 a second at 480p. At 720p, it's listed from $0.10 a second.
We didn't test either model, so we can't tell you whether they run. If you need one, check the rate on NetMind's page on the day you'd buy, and see whether a paid NetMind plan changes it.
Where NetMind's model page doesn't match its API docs
NetMind's model card repeats the line from Haiper's October 2024 launch post that the model was "soon to be upgraded to 4K resolution." But nothing in the call NetMind documents offers 4K. NetMind's model panel also tags it for video-to-video, yet the call takes only a prompt, a resolution and a seed. We wouldn't treat either line as a feature.
Whether you could run its clips in an ad
We found no line on NetMind's model pages that says whether Haiper's output can be used in ads, and no Haiper license there either. NetMind's terms say models trained by third parties may come with their own terms, and that following them is up to you. So we can't tell you whether its clips are allowed in ads, and we'd get that answer in writing from NetMind before running one. Back when Haiper sold its own plans, only Pro and the enterprise API listed commercial use.
Haiper's docs still load, but the service behind them doesn't
Haiper's documentation site still loaded on November 1, 2026, price tables and all, but the service it describes was gone.
- Its API page lists Haiper Video 2.x at $0.05 a second at 720p.
- Its app page lists 8 credits a second for the same 720p clips, and it still prices a web app and an iOS app.
- The API address those docs name didn't answer.
- The API sign-up page they point to is gone, and so is the App Store page they link to.
So if a review quotes these prices with a 2026 date, it's quoting the docs, and you can't pay for the service behind them. The domain still shows Haiper's blank page, so what's there could change after we looked.
Sites that borrow the name
Some sites that rank for the name use it without showing that they run Haiper's model, and an app on Google Play that carries the name says it "is not an official application." We don't link to any of them as a way to use Haiper. The UK register also lists other companies with similar names, so if you're checking on the company itself, look for company number 13515940.
Where else we looked
Haiper had partnered with Civitai and VEED, so we looked there, and on fal and Hugging Face too.
- Civitai's guide to its video engines, published October 26, 2026, doesn't mention Haiper.
- VEED's AI video page names the models it offers, Seedance 2.5 and Veo 3 among them, and Haiper isn't one.
- We found no Haiper model on fal.
- A Hugging Face model search for the name came back empty.
NetMind is the only place we found the model listed, but that doesn't mean it's the only place the model runs.
What 5 seconds of video costs on NetMind and in Novoads
NetMind's listed rate beside ours
Novoads has three plans you can buy today, and you pay from the first month on any of them. Prices are as of November 1, 2026.
- Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, billed monthly only.
- Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits. Billed yearly, it's $39 a month.
- Ultra starts at $129 a month for 3,000 credits.

The Novoads pricing page with monthly billing selected, showing its Starter, Plus and Ultra cards · screenshot taken 2026-11-01
At the monthly price, that works out to $0.075 a credit on Starter and $0.049 on Plus. In the table, we've set NetMind's listed rate for HaiperVideo2.5 beside three video models we sell, all for the same 5 seconds, and kept Haiper's own last rate at the bottom as a record.
| 5 seconds of video | Rate | Arithmetic | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| HaiperVideo2.5 on NetMind at 720p, NetMind's listed rate (not tested) | from $0.10 a second | 5 × $0.10 | 50 cents |
| Wan 3.0 at 720p, Novoads Plus | 9 credits | 9 × $0.049 | about 44 cents |
| Wan 3.0 at 720p, Novoads Starter | 9 credits | 9 × $0.075 | about 68 cents |
| Kling v3 Pro, Novoads Plus | 10 credits | 10 × $0.049 | 49 cents |
| Kling v3 Pro, Novoads Starter | 10 credits | 10 × $0.075 | 75 cents |
| Seedance 2.5 at 720p, Novoads Plus | 35 credits | 35 × $0.049 | about $1.72 |
| Seedance 2.5 at 720p, Novoads Starter | 35 credits | 35 × $0.075 | about $2.63 |
| Haiper Video 2.x API at 720p, Haiper's last listed rate (no longer sold) | $0.05 a second | 5 × $0.05 | 25 cents |
By our arithmetic, NetMind's listed rate comes to 50 cents for those 5 seconds. That's less than Seedance 2.5 costs on Starter, Plus or Ultra, and less than Wan 3.0 or Kling v3 Pro on Starter. On Plus, Kling v3 Pro comes out about level (a cent cheaper), and Wan 3.0 costs about 6 cents less.
We read that rate on NetMind's pages and didn't test the model. NetMind's pages say its Pro plan gets better API prices, but they show no Haiper figure for Pro, so a Pro member may pay less. Haiper's text-to-video clips ran 4 or 6 seconds, and NetMind's call has no length setting. So the 5 seconds is our own yardstick.
Haiper's own last listed rate came to 25 cents for the same 5 seconds, lower than every other row in the table. But nobody can pay it now, because the API it belongs to doesn't answer. An archive copy of Haiper's API page from April 2025 shows the same rate.
Price isn't why we'd point a former Haiper user to Wan 3.0. In Novoads, Wan 3.0 makes clips of 4 to 15 seconds, with sound on by default. You can start one from a prompt, from a start and end frame, or from up to 9 reference pictures. NetMind's documented call for Haiper's model takes only a prompt, a resolution and a seed.
One clip made with Seedance 2.5

Made in Novoads with Seedance 2.5 · a one-line prompt, a dropper bottle lifted to the camera in a white kitchen · 5 seconds, vertical, 1080p · 60 credits · rendered 2026-09-21 in 8 minutes 38 seconds
We made this clip in Novoads on September 21, 2026, from a one-line prompt. It's 5 seconds of vertical Seedance 2.5 video at 1080p. It cost 60 credits, which is still the price of that clip today. Rendering took 8 minutes 38 seconds. This isn't Haiper's output, and it isn't a side-by-side test with Haiper. It shows what a model we sell made from one short prompt, and our Seedance 2.5 prompt guide covers how to write longer ones.
What to use for video ads now
If you need Haiper's own model
If you're trying to match clips you made with Haiper, NetMind is the one place we found its model listed. Check its rate and terms there, compare that rate with the table above, and run a small paid test before you plan around it.
If you're making short ad clips
We'd start with Wan 3.0 in Novoads, for the clip lengths and sound we covered above. You can also use Kling v3 Pro and Seedance 2.5 on the same monthly credits. If you're weighing other video models, our roundup of Kling alternatives and our look at how Kling and Seedance compare for ads go further than we can here. Our FAQ says "All videos generated with Novoads are fully licensed for commercial use." You'll find every plan and what it includes on our pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Haiper AI still work?
Not as an app or an API you can reach. On November 1, 2026, haiper.ai opened to a blank page, the app's address led to that same page, and the API address in Haiper's docs didn't answer. Haiper Limited's accounts for the period ending September 20, 2025, say the company "is in the process of being wound up." The UK register listed an active proposal to strike it off, though the strike-off action had been suspended after an objection. The only place we found Haiper's video model listed was NetMind's paid API, which we didn't test.
