InVideo vs Higgsfield for Ad Videos: Editor or Generator at About $50 a Month
InVideo is a timeline editor that now generates; Higgsfield is a 30-plus-model suite that now makes ads. Both keep Seedance 2.5 off the entry plan. Plans, per-second credit math and fit for ad work, as of September 2026.

One edits the ad, the other re-renders it
A growth marketer at a skincare brand has about $50 a month for AI ad video and two browser tabs open. One holds InVideo's pricing page, the other Higgsfield's plan guide. She finds the same catch on both. The model she came for is missing from the cheap plan.
InVideo's $20 Starter card says "No access to Seedance 2.5," and the model starts on Plus at $50 per seat a month, billed annually. Higgsfield's Seedance help article says Seedance 2.5 "isn't included in Starter and Basic," and Higgsfield's September 15 guide lists Plus at $49 a month. On both, Seedance 2.5 begins on the second plan. So price alone does not settle this. How each tool expects you to build an ad does.
InVideo's homepage calls Agent Two "the agentic video editor for serious creatives": a multitrack timeline with AI agents working on it. Higgsfield calls itself an "AI-native creative suite," with more than 30 frontier models behind one credit balance and an ad generator on top. One is editor-first, the other generation-first. A disclosure before the details: Novoads competes in AI video ads and runs Seedance 2.5 as well, so we have a stake. Every rival price and plan below is the vendor's own, read on September 17, 2026.
The quick answer for ad teams
Neither tool wins across the board, because each is built around a different step of making an ad. InVideo is strongest where footage gets shaped. Higgsfield is strongest where footage gets made.
Use InVideo when
- You already have footage, such as product B-roll, founder clips or last quarter's winners, and want an agent to cut and restyle it on a real timeline.
- Several people edit the same project. Multiplayer editing and the timeline editor are on every plan, and InVideo's pricing page says timeline editing uses no credits.
- You want Seedance 2.5 at 1080p for the lower metered price of the two, and you can pay for a Plus seat annually.
Use Higgsfield when
- You start from a product link and want a finished ad without opening a timeline. Higgsfield says Marketing Studio "writes the script, directs the shots, and delivers the final cut."
- You want to choose the engine yourself, from a catalog that includes Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5 and Wan 2.6.
- You need formats beyond UGC in the same workspace, such as a CGI product spot with no people or a TV-style story ad.
Edge for editing footage and cheaper 1080p seconds: InVideo. Edge for link-to-ad generation and model choice: Higgsfield.

InVideo is an editor that learned to generate
InVideo's homepage leads with an editor, not a model. Generation arrives as a feature of the edit, and the plans reflect that order.
The timeline is the product
The pitch is an agent that works the way an assistant editor would. InVideo says you "describe the edit in plain words, and InVideo's editing agent does it on a real multitrack timeline you can take over at any frame." The agent logs every clip in memory "so you find any moment by describing it," and one direction applies "to every shot on the timeline, from cutting the pauses to matching the look."
For an ad team that already shoots, that changes the unit of work. Instead of generating a new clip to fix a slow opening, you ask the agent to cut the pause. The plans back this up with editor features rather than model counts:
- Multiplayer editing on every plan, from 5 seats on Starter to 20 on Max.
- Premium stock footage allowances of 100, 200 and 500 across Starter, Plus and Max.
- Color, audio and 3D tools on every plan. The plan finder puts the editing side plainly: "40 hours of editing costs nothing."
The UGC ad agent picks the model for you
InVideo also sells a generation path for ads, and it keeps the editor's habit of hiding the engine. On its UGC ads page, you paste a product or app link and "the agent pulls your product details, imagery, and app interface into context." There is "no stock avatar library to pick from": the agent casts a creator from your description and locks that face and voice together across shots, the route our HeyGen vs InVideo comparison sets against a ready-made presenter library.
Two details matter for ad work. First, framing, expression and product placement "are fixed as images first," so you approve stills before anything animates. Second, you do not choose the model. InVideo says the agent "routes each shot to whichever current video or image model fits it best" and that "you never pick a model or write a prompt." If you would rather finish by hand, you can "export everything if you would rather finish in your own editor."
That is a general studio growing an ad lane, not an ad tool first. Our roundup of InVideo alternatives for ad makers covers where a broad studio fits against UGC specialists.
What spends credits on InVideo
Credits pay for generation, not for the editor. InVideo's FAQ says credits are used "for video creation, generative models and across other features, not for downloading content," and that unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
The entry plan is deliberately thin on generation. Starter includes "Access to Seedance 2.0 Fast & 2.0 Mini" and "Access to Agent Two Lite only." Its compare table meters Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p at about 30 credits per 5 seconds, which is 13 clips a month on Starter. Plus opens "Agent Two Lite, Pro & Ultra" and the Seedance 2.5 tier.
Higgsfield is a model suite that learned to make ads
Higgsfield runs the other way around. The catalog comes first, and the ad tools sit on top of it.
Thirty-plus models behind one balance
Higgsfield's September 15 guide says "one credit balance covers more than 30 frontier models for video, image, and audio, including Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0, Seedance 2.5, and Wan 2.6." Its Seedance help article offers "versions from Seedance 2.0 to Seedance 2.5 in the model picker," with 2.5 rendering clips of 4 to 30 seconds. Each generation's cost depends on the model, resolution and duration, and Higgsfield shows it on the Generate button before you confirm.
That is a different kind of control from InVideo's. On Higgsfield you choose the engine and write the prompt, and our explainer on what Seedance 2.5 does covers what the newest option adds. The trade is that choosing well becomes your job.
Marketing Studio turns a link into an ad
For ads, Higgsfield sends you to Marketing Studio. Its AI Ad Generator page compresses the flow to "Paste a URL. Pick a format. Get a finished ad." Around that flow sit three layers:
- A template library of "1,500+ options organized by task," covering product shots, ads, marketplace images, posters, UGC videos and motion.
- Nine ad modes, from UGC, tutorials, product reviews and unboxings to two virtual try-on modes, a Hyper Motion CGI spot with no people, a TV Spot and Wild Card, where the AI invents the story around your product.
- "40+ ready-to-use avatars," or a custom one generated from a text prompt with Soul 2.0.
One detail cuts against the plan story above: the same page says "every ad is powered by Seedance 2.0." The Plus gate on Seedance 2.5 matters most when you generate raw clips in Higgsfield's video tool, and less inside the ad generator. Our Higgsfield review for advertisers walks through each mode.
A change means a new generation
This is where generation-first shows. Higgsfield's Marketing Studio help article says "editing after generation is available only in the Posters category; results in other categories are regenerated, not edited." Its credits article lists what spends credits: "images, videos, re-rolls, and upscaling." So a fix to a video ad is usually another run, paid for again.
Higgsfield does sell a way to change a finished clip without starting over. Its Seedance 2.5 Edit model "changes a clip you've already generated, including region-level edits," at 480p to 720p. That is a generative edit rather than a timeline cut, closer to the approach in our guide to local video edits that skip a full re-render.

Both keep the model you want off the entry plan
This comparison turns on a parallel. Each vendor sells a cheap door, and each keeps Seedance 2.5 behind the next one.
InVideo: Starter at $20, Seedance 2.5 from Plus
InVideo prices per seat. Starter is "$20 per seat/mo, billed annually" for 400 credits per seat, and the card adds "No difference compared to monthly," so annual billing earns no discount on this tier. The same card says "No access to Seedance 2.5."
Plus is "$50 per seat/mo, billed annually" for 2,000 credits per seat and lists Seedance 2.5 at 1080p with full access. Max is "$101 per seat/mo, billed annually" for 5,000 credits per seat, and it is the only tier marked "Lowest cost per credit."
Higgsfield: Starter at $15, Seedance 2.5 from Plus
Higgsfield's guide is dated September 15, 2026, and says its prices were verified on September 11. It lists three plans, which our Higgsfield pricing guide breaks down credit by credit:
- Starter: "$15/mo: 200 credits and the model catalog, without the unlimited set."
- Plus: "$49/mo or $39 annual: 1,000 credits," with a 365-day set of six image models and a 7-day window on Nano Banana 2.
- Ultra: "$129/mo or $99 annual: 3,000 credits."
The Seedance help article, dated August 1, 2026, is the page that draws the line. It says Seedance 2.5 "is available on Pro and Plus plans and above and isn't included in Starter and Basic." Those plan names are the article's own and do not all match the guide's ladder, and the guide's "model catalog" line for Starter reads broader than the article does. Our Higgsfield vs Seedance comparison traces the same gate, so check the plan card before you pay for Starter expecting 2.5.
The two ladders side by side
| InVideo | Higgsfield | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan | Starter, $20 per seat | Starter, $15 |
| Entry credits | 400 per seat | 200 |
| Seedance 2.5 on entry | No | No |
| First plan with it | Plus, $50 per seat, annual | Plus, $49 ($39 annual) |
| Credits on that plan | 2,000 per seat | 1,000 |
| Top listed plan | Max, $101 per seat, annual | Ultra, $129 ($99 annual) |
Credits are not a shared currency, so the rows above do not compare on their own. Our guide to what one AI video credit buys explains why the conversion has to go through dollars.
What a second of Seedance 2.5 costs on each
Both vendors publish a Seedance 2.5 rate. Put through each plan's dollars per credit, the two rates land far apart.
Turning credits into dollars
InVideo Plus: $50 ÷ 2,000 credits = $0.025 per credit. The compare table meters Seedance 2.5 at 1080p at about 50 credits per 5 seconds, so one clip is about $1.25 and one second about $0.25. Plus covers 40 such clips a month.
Higgsfield Plus: $49 ÷ 1,000 credits = $0.049 per credit, or $0.039 on annual billing. The September 15 guide says "one Seedance 2.5 take at 8 seconds 1080p costs 72 credits, about $3.60." That is 9 credits a second, or about $0.44 a second on monthly Plus and $0.35 on annual Plus. Plus covers 13 such takes a month.
On these published numbers, a 1080p second of Seedance 2.5 costs less on InVideo Plus than on Higgsfield Plus, even with both billed annually.
A test month, priced both ways
Say the marketer from the opening wants 10 usable 8-second hooks at 1080p for next month's tests. Higgsfield's own guide says a usable clip "typically takes three to five generations to land" in its testing, so she budgets four attempts per keeper.
The test-month formula: credits needed = usable clips × attempts × seconds × credits per second.
- InVideo: 10 × 4 × 8 × 10 = 3,200 credits. Plus holds 2,000, so the month lands on Max, at $101 per seat billed annually.
- Higgsfield: 10 × 4 × 8 × 9 = 2,880 credits. Plus holds 1,000, so the month lands on Ultra, at $129 monthly or $99 billed annually.
Both answers sit on the third plan, near $100 a month on annual billing, which makes a better budget anchor than either entry price. The math assumes each rate scales in a straight line with clip length, which neither vendor promises. How many hooks a test really needs is its own question, covered in our post on how many ad creatives you need.
Why your number will move
- InVideo can reprice. Its FAQ says "We reserve the right to update credit costs at any time, without prior notice," and the compare table marks its rates as approximate.
- Higgsfield's own posts disagree. A Higgsfield guide dated August 14, 2026 logged a 15-second vertical video "generated with Seedance 2.5 at 1080p and cost 270 credits." That is 18 credits a second, double the September rate. At 18 a second, the test month needs 5,760 credits, more than Ultra holds.
- Higgsfield also sells flat time. Its Unlimited Models Marketplace sells passes per model, "from $7 for a 1-day pass," and the guide says that at around 30 usable clips a month "a 3-day or 7-day pass on the working model costs less." Unlimited applies on higgsfield.ai only.

Where each one breaks down on ad work
Price per second is one axis. The failure modes below come from each vendor's own pages, and they hit at different stages of an ad.
Where InVideo trips ad teams
- Seats multiply the bill. Every price is per seat, and the plan finder's own example shows "$720 up front for 3 seats" on Starter.
- Starter cannot run the newest Seedance. It stops at Seedance 2.0 Fast and 2.0 Mini, with the Lite agent only.
- The engine is not yours to pick on the UGC agent. If a shot needs a particular model, you are trusting the router.
- Credits reset. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
Where Higgsfield trips ad teams
- Fifteen seconds per generation. Marketing Studio's help article says "the maximum clip length is 15 seconds per generation."
- Voice can drift. The same article warns that "voiceover and pacing in UGC Videos can vary by generation" and tells you to review before publishing.
- Brand names can block a render. Higgsfield lists "branded product names or logos used as generation subjects" among IP-block triggers, which is awkward for a product ad.
- Unlimited stops at the website. Generations made through MCP, CLI, Canvas and Supercomputer always deduct credits, whatever the plan.
What they share
Both reset subscription credits each cycle, and on both, every generation draws credits. On InVideo, the timeline absorbs some fixes without spending credits. On Higgsfield, nearly every fix to a video ad is a new generation. If an ad needs the same face across many variations, the tactics in our guide to keeping one AI actor consistent across ad variations apply on either tool.
How Novoads solves the finished talking ad
Novoads is an AI UGC video-ad generator: upload a product photo, write or auto-generate a script, pick an AI actor and export a vertical ad. Seedance 2.5 is available in Novoads on every plan, Starter included, at 7.6 credits for a 5-second clip, with takes of 4 to 30 seconds at 480p or 720p. Novoads starts at $49/month (Starter, 50 credits per month). All plans are published on /pricing.
What sits around the clip
- A talking actor who delivers your script, with voices in 31 languages, lip-sync and captions.
- Your product in hand, through one of two routes: a custom actor made from an uploaded photo of someone holding the product, or a Discover product template that places your uploaded product in a template creator's hand.
- Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Kling v3 Pro, Google Veo 3.1 and Omni Flash in the same account, for the shot that needs a different engine.
Our Higgsfield vs Novoads comparison goes deeper on that side of the choice.
Where the rivals are the better buy
On each vendor's published rates, both rivals' Plus plans buy more Seedance 2.5 seconds per dollar than the Novoads Starter plan does, and at 1080p, a resolution Novoads does not offer for this model. If the job is shaping footage you already shot, InVideo is built for it. If the job is choosing among 30-plus engines or a CGI product spot, Higgsfield is. If the job is a steady run of spoken, product-first vertical ads, you can start on Novoads.

Choose the tool by where the fixing happens
InVideo and Higgsfield both put Seedance 2.5 on a plan near $50, and a real test month pushes both to the third plan. The difference is what happens after the first render. InVideo lets you fix an ad on a timeline that costs no credits to touch. Higgsfield hands you a finished ad and a Generate button for the next one. Pick the tool whose way of fixing an ad matches how your team already works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is InVideo or Higgsfield better for making ad videos?
It depends on where your ad gets fixed. InVideo is an editor first: an agent edits on a multitrack timeline, timeline editing uses no credits, and multiplayer editing is on every plan. Higgsfield is a generator first: more than 30 models on one credit balance, and Marketing Studio turns a product link into a finished ad. Pick InVideo if you shape footage you already have. Pick Higgsfield if you want to generate from a link and choose the engine yourself.
Which InVideo plan includes Seedance 2.5?
Plus and Max, as of September 17, 2026. InVideo's pricing page says Starter ($20 per seat a month, 400 credits per seat) has no access to Seedance 2.5. Plus costs $50 per seat a month billed annually for 2,000 credits per seat and includes Seedance 2.5 at 1080p, which the compare table meters at about 50 credits per 5 seconds, or 40 clips a month. InVideo says it can update credit costs at any time without prior notice.
Does Higgsfield's Starter plan include Seedance 2.5?
No, according to Higgsfield's Seedance help article, which says Seedance 2.5 is available on Pro and Plus plans and above and isn't included in Starter and Basic. Higgsfield's guide dated September 15, 2026 lists Starter at $15 a month for 200 credits, Plus at $49 a month or $39 billed annually for 1,000 credits, and Ultra at $129 a month or $99 billed annually for 3,000 credits.
How much does a Seedance 2.5 clip cost on InVideo vs Higgsfield?
On InVideo Plus, about 50 credits per 5 seconds at 1080p, which at $50 for 2,000 credits is about $1.25 a clip. On Higgsfield, its September 15 guide prices an 8-second 1080p take at 72 credits, about $3.60 by Higgsfield's own conversion. A Higgsfield guide dated August 14 logged 270 credits for a 15-second 1080p video, twice the September rate per second, so check the Generate button before you budget.
Can you edit a video after generating it on Higgsfield?
Partly. In Marketing Studio, Higgsfield says editing after generation is available only in the Posters category, and results in other categories are regenerated, not edited. Separately, its Seedance 2.5 Edit model changes a clip you have already generated, including region-level edits, at 480p to 720p. Higgsfield counts re-rolls among the things that spend credits.
Can I use Seedance 2.5 in Novoads?
Yes. Seedance 2.5 is available in Novoads on every plan, Starter included, at 7.6 credits for a 5-second clip, with takes of 4 to 30 seconds at 480p or 720p. Novoads starts at $49/month (Starter, 50 credits per month), and all plans are published on /pricing. Novoads also runs Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Mini, Kling v3 Pro, Google Veo 3.1 and Omni Flash.
Key Takeaways
- Both tools keep Seedance 2.5 off the entry plan. InVideo's $20-per-seat Starter card says 'No access to Seedance 2.5' and the model starts on Plus at $50 per seat billed annually. Higgsfield's Seedance help article says 2.5 isn't included in Starter, and its September 15 guide lists Plus at $49 a month, or $39 billed annually.
- InVideo is editor-first: an agent edits on a multitrack timeline, timeline editing uses no credits, and its UGC ad agent picks the model for you. Higgsfield is generation-first: more than 30 models on one credit balance, and Marketing Studio results outside the Posters category are regenerated, not edited.
- Per 1080p second of Seedance 2.5, as of September 17, 2026: about $0.25 on InVideo Plus (about 50 credits per 5 seconds at $0.025 a credit) against about $0.44 on monthly Higgsfield Plus (72 credits per 8 seconds at $0.049 a credit), or about $0.35 billed annually.
- A test month of 10 usable 8-second hooks at four attempts each needs about 3,200 InVideo credits or 2,880 Higgsfield credits. That lands on the third plan on both: InVideo Max at $101 per seat billed annually, or Higgsfield Ultra at $129 a month ($99 annually).
- Novoads offers Seedance 2.5 on every plan, Starter included, at 7.6 credits for a 5-second 720p clip, and starts at $49/month (Starter, 50 credits per month). Per raw second, both rivals' Plus plans are cheaper; the Novoads case is the finished talking ad around the clip.
