VEED Fabric: What It Makes and What a 30-Second Ad Costs
VEED Fabric 1.0 makes a talking video from a picture and a voice track. VEED's API lists 720p at $0.15 a second, so 30 seconds is $4.50 before tax.

A picture, a voice track and $4.50 for 30 seconds
VEED Fabric 1.0 takes one picture and a voice track and gives you back a video of that picture talking. VEED's own API lists 720p at $0.15 a second, so a 30-second take comes to $4.50 before tax. That math is ours, and it's hard to find elsewhere. We could open four of the top five results for "veed fabric" and none of them gives a per-second price.
We read VEED's pages, and those of two other sellers of the model, fal and Replicate, on November 4, 2026, from Spain. The Novoads numbers come from our own talking-actor run. We didn't run a paid Fabric job on VEED's API for this post, so every VEED price you'll see here is the one VEED lists.
We have a stake in this too. The talking actor in Novoads runs on Fabric, and on every plan, 30 seconds costs more with us than on VEED's API, with the voice included. We do that math further down, next to what the extra money buys.
What Fabric takes in and what comes out
VEED calls Fabric 1.0 its proprietary model for AI lip-sync video. You start with a still image, and VEED says the speech guides the lip sync as well as the movement of the head, hands and body. We haven't judged renders from VEED's own API for this post, so take that as VEED's description of its model.
The picture
VEED's API reference asks for an image with a clear face and says photos, illustrations, mascots and stylized characters all work. Its model page lists realistic, clay animation and anime among the styles. VEED's help site adds that you should own the picture or have permission to use it. We've written separately about making a spokesperson ad from a single photo.
The voice, and the routes that make one for you
On VEED's API, the voice has to exist before you call the model. VEED's reference says the model takes audio rather than text, so you generate the audio with a text-to-speech tool first. fal's main route asks for the same two things, an image and an audio file. If you're buying that track separately, our ElevenLabs pricing post shows what one costs.
There are two ways around the audio file. One is fal's text route, sold at the same per-second price, where you send the picture and up to 2,000 characters of script. fal's page says the voice description is generated from the image, and you can add your own on top. The other is VEED's editor, where its launch post says you can type what the character should say and choose a language and a voice, record your audio, or upload a voiceover. VEED also describes an add-on called Fabric Emotions, which adds emotional voice characters through an ElevenLabs integration.
What you get back
- 480p or 720p, the two resolutions VEED's API accepts.
- 25 frames a second, according to fal's launch post.
- The shape of your picture. fal's post lists 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4 and 9:16, and it says a square picture at 720p comes out at 960×960.
- A 736×1312 file, in our own vertical 720p run through Novoads.
Using the output in an ad
VEED's API FAQ says you can use outputs commercially, and fal's page says commercial use is permitted. VEED's Terms of Use, last updated August 28, 2026, restrict commercial use of content on its applications but carve out content you've uploaded, created or edited there. In the editor, VEED's help site says a paid subscription is the only way to export without its watermark. The terms also say its applications may add visible, audible or imperceptible marks to what you make, and that you can't remove them.
How long a take can run, and how long it takes to render
VEED's own pages don't agree on length, so we're listing each number with its page and leaving the disagreement in plain view.
| Where it's written | What it says |
|---|---|
| VEED's Fabric page, paid plans in the editor | "longer videos up to 30 seconds" |
| VEED's Fabric page, the tries every user gets | 10 seconds per generation |
| VEED's Fabric enterprise page | Up to 30 seconds, and "We'll soon be rolling out one minute videos." |
| VEED's Fabric Emotions page | "Currently, videos generate up to 30 seconds, with longer durations coming soon." |
| VEED's API help article, updated October 5, 2026 | "Each API call supports up to 1 minute of generated video." |
| VEED's model page | "You can generate talking videos up to 5 minutes in duration." |
| VEED's article on the API, updated September 30, 2026 | "Max length: 5 minutes" |
| fal's launch post, September 25, 2025 | A maximum of 1 minute |
| Replicate's listing | "up to 60 seconds long" |
We didn't test any of these limits. If we were planning a job, we'd go with the lowest number on the route we were buying. VEED's help article says longer content takes several API calls, and its Fabric page says you can stitch several clips together in the editor, so we'd expect to render a long script in pieces.
Render times disagree too
The wait depends on which page you read, and on the run.
- VEED's API reference says rendering usually takes a minute or two.
- fal's launch post says about 5 minutes for 10 seconds at 720p, and VEED's article on the API gives the same figure.
- VEED's guide to lip-sync videos says about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Our own run through Novoads took 1 minute 29 seconds for a 12.7-second take at 720p. That was on October 9, 2026.
That last one is a single run of ours, so treat it as one data point. Our post on measured render times looks across more models.
When Fabric came out
Fabric has been around for over a year. We're dating it from archived copies of VEED's page and from fal's own dates.
- September 9, 2025. An archived copy of VEED's Fabric page has the word waitlist in its title.
- September 18, 2025. A later archived copy has dropped the word from its title.
- September 19, 2025. The date on fal's Fabric 1.0 model page. fal's launch post followed on September 25.
- October 1, 2025. The date on fal's Fast route.
- December 12, 2025. The date on fal's text route.
- September 30, 2026. The day VEED says self-serve access to its own API opened, in a post published October 14, 2026.
So what's new is how you can buy it. Since that last date, VEED says, self-serve buyers can pay it directly from a prepaid balance.
What a 30-second take costs on each route
Prices as of November 4, 2026, read from Spain. The math is ours.
VEED's API lists $0.15 a second at 720p
VEED's API price list has two rows for Fabric 1.0, in US dollars.
- 720p at $0.15 a second, so 30 seconds is 30 × $0.15 = $4.50.
- 480p at $0.08 a second, so 30 seconds is 30 × $0.08 = $2.40.
Both totals are before tax, because VEED's terms say its prices exclude VAT and other applicable taxes. The terms also say each request is charged at the listed price and deducted from your credits. VEED's price list says a job is only billed once it completes, and its terms say it doesn't charge for a failed API call. VEED's help article says billing is per second with no stated minimum, and it tells you to confirm the details before going live. We didn't run a job, so we haven't checked any of this against a bill.
You don't pay per job on a card. You buy prepaid credits in whole dollars, from $10 to $1,000. That makes $10 the smallest first purchase, and it covers two 30-second takes at 720p with a dollar left over. VEED says the credits are non-refundable and expire two years after purchase. An editor subscription or editor AI credits won't pay for API jobs, so if you used both, you'd keep two balances.
The rate isn't new. An archived copy of VEED's Fabric API page from September 28, 2025, already shows 720p at $0.15 a second. But VEED's terms let it change prices by updating its pricing pages, so we'd check the list on the day you buy. These are the self-serve rates, and VEED's API FAQ sends enterprise buyers to sales for volume discounts.
fal and Replicate list the same rate
VEED's help article says there are two routes to the Fabric API, direct from VEED and through fal, and that they're billed separately. It calls fal a third-party marketplace that manages authentication and billing. On both its image-and-audio route and its text route, fal lists Fabric 1.0 at $0.15 a second at 720p. At 480p it's $0.08 a second. So 30 seconds at 720p comes to the same $4.50. Replicate lists $0.15 per second of output at 720p as well. These are each seller's own prices, and your bill would come from that seller.
fal also sells a Fast route, which VEED describes as the same model, 2.5 times faster. It costs $0.20 a second at 720p, so 30 seconds is $6.00. At 480p it's $0.10 a second. VEED's marketing pages show those Fast rates too, but its API price list has no Fast row and its API reference has no Fast option, so we treat Fast as a fal route.
We'd also read fal's $4.50 as a listed figure. Its page gives a billing unit of seconds at $0.08, and if fal bills 720p in whole units of that size, 30 seconds rounds up to 57 units. That's $4.56, and we didn't check it against a fal bill for this post.
VEED's editor prices it in credits, two ways
In VEED's editor, Fabric is under Video, then Generate, and you pay in AI credits. The Fabric page says 240 credits per generation. The plans page says 8 credits a second at 720p. Those agree at a full 30-second clip, so that's the only length we're pricing here. For a shorter clip, you'd want to ask VEED which one applies.
The table prices those 240 credits at each plan's rate, in VEED's default-market dollars.
| VEED plan | Its share of 240 credits, billed monthly | Its share of 240 credits, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|
| Creator, $25 a month or $147 a year | $12.00 | $5.88 |
| Pro, $45 a month or $265 a year | $4.32 | $2.12 |
| Studio, $79 a month or $465 a year | $1.26 | $0.62 |
Those shares only hold if you spend every credit, and VEED's pricing FAQ says credits don't carry over. Creator's 500 monthly credits cover two full clips. VEED charges those prices per editor seat, and its plans page says prices vary by region and that you'll see local pricing, so your figures may differ. Our VEED pricing post covers every plan, and our credits explainer shows how to compare prices like these across vendors.
The Fabric page also says every VEED user can try Fabric 3 times, up to 10 seconds each. VEED's model page says customers in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh don't get those tries but can use credits.
You'll also see a 4.6 with 1,946 reviews on VEED's Fabric page and on its API page, as of November 4, 2026. Neither page says where that number comes from. We read it as a rating for VEED overall, so we don't count it as a rating of Fabric. Our VEED alternatives post has VEED's ratings on Trustpilot and the app stores.
Why the same 30 seconds costs more in Novoads
A 30-second take costs more in Novoads than on VEED's API, on every plan we sell. Our talking actor runs on Fabric and bills by the started minute, voice included. That's 200 credits at 720p and 100 at 480p. Thirty seconds is one started minute, so it costs the same as 60 seconds.
Novoads starts at $15/month (Starter, 200 credits per month). Plus is $49/month (1,000 credits). Ultra starts at $129/month (3,000 credits) for more volume. The table prices one take of up to 60 seconds at each plan's rate per credit.
| Novoads plan | Price | 720p (200 credits) | 480p (100 credits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $15 a month | $15.00 | $7.50 |
| Plus | $49 a month | $9.80 | $4.90 |
| Plus, billed yearly | $39 a month | $7.80 | $3.90 |
| Ultra 3,000 | $129 a month | $8.60 | $4.30 |
| Ultra 3,000, billed yearly | $99 a month | $6.60 | $3.30 |
| Ultra 9,000, billed yearly | $270 a month | $6.00 | $3.00 |
At 720p, VEED's API and fal list the same 30 seconds at $4.50. At 480p they list it at $2.40. Even our lowest rate, Ultra 9,000 billed yearly, stays above both. At 30 seconds we also cost more than VEED's editor on Creator billed yearly, Pro and Studio. Only Creator on monthly billing lands in our range, with its $12.00 share below our Starter and above our Plus.
Our pricing page on monthly billing. Plus costs $49 for 1,000 credits and Ultra $129 for 3,000. Starter, at $15 for 200 credits, is monthly only · taken 2026-11-04
Novoads is paid from the first month, and you can compare the plans on our pricing page.
What the higher price buys
You write a script, pick an actor and a voice from our catalog, and get the render back in one place. There's no picture to prepare, no audio file to make and no API to call. That's the contrast with VEED's API and fal's image-and-audio route, where you bring your own voice track. fal's text route makes a voice too, at the same $0.15 a second, so against that route, what we add is a library of 100+ AI actors and a catalog of voices to pick from.
A voice track bought on its own doesn't cost much, as our ElevenLabs post shows, so we wouldn't argue that the voice alone closes the gap. We think having every step in one place is what the extra money buys, and it's worth paying for only if you'd otherwise be stitching those steps together yourself. If you plan to run the same face across variations, our post on keeping one AI actor consistent covers that.
One take from our own run
On October 9, 2026, we made a 12.7-second talking-actor ad at 720p through our MCP connector. The library actor Bárbara reads a Spanish script, in the voice Andrea, about the protein bites a woman who works from home keeps in her desk drawer. It rendered in 1 minute 29 seconds, and a transcript of the video matched the script word for word.
Made in Novoads with the talking actor at 720p · a Spanish script about protein bites, read by library actor Bárbara in the voice Andrea, through the MCP connector · 200 credits (one started minute) · rendered 2026-10-09
It billed one started minute, so a 13-second take cost the same 200 credits as a 60-second one would. That's $15.00 on Starter. At the API's rate, those 12.7 seconds list at about $1.91, plus whatever your voice track costs. So short takes are where our gap is widest. This run also went through our product with a voice from our catalog, so it doesn't tell you how a job on VEED's API looks or runs.
Where the math changes at longer takes
Because we bill by the started minute, the comparison moves with length. A full 60 seconds at the API's 720p rate lists at $9.00, before the voice track.
- Ultra 3,000 billed yearly comes to $6.60, and it drops below the API's rate past 44 seconds.
- Plus billed yearly comes to $7.80, and it drops below that rate past 52 seconds.
- Ultra 3,000 comes to $8.60, and it drops below that rate past about 57 seconds.
- Plus on monthly billing comes to $9.80, which is $0.80 more than the API's rate even at a full minute.
- Starter comes to $15.00, which is more than the API's rate at every length up to a minute.
What to check before you pay us
- Scripts can run up to 1,500 characters.
- A take over 60 seconds starts another minute of credits. Our cap is 180 seconds, a number we set in June and haven't re-tested, so we won't promise you anything past 60 seconds here.
- Library actors have empty hands. To show a product in the actor's hand, you need a custom actor, made by uploading a photo of someone holding it.
- Plan credits are monthly and don't roll over.
- Our pricing FAQ says all videos generated with Novoads are fully licensed for commercial use.
Which route we'd pick for which job
This part is our reading of the numbers above, all at 30 seconds and 720p.
| Route | 30 seconds at 720p | Where the voice comes from | How you pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| VEED's API | $4.50 before tax | Your own audio file | Prepaid credits, from $10 |
| fal, image and audio | $4.50 | Your own audio file | fal's billing |
| fal, text | $4.50 | Made from your script and picture | fal's billing |
| fal, Fast | $6.00 | Your own audio file | fal's billing |
| VEED's editor, Creator monthly | $12.00 share | Typed, recorded or uploaded | $25 a month |
| VEED's editor, Pro monthly | $4.32 share | Typed, recorded or uploaded | $45 a month |
| Novoads, Starter | $15.00 share | Catalog voice, included | $15 a month |
| Novoads, Plus | $9.80 share | Catalog voice, included | Plus at $49 a month |
VEED's API or fal, if you've got a voice track and a pipeline
You'd pay a listed rate by the second, so short takes stay cheap. VEED's API FAQ says the API is for developers building video features into their own product or automating video at scale. You'd also be doing the plumbing yourself. A request returns a job ID, you poll until the job's finished, VEED says webhooks aren't supported, and output links expire 24 hours after the job completes, so you'd need to save each file. If you don't want to make a voice track, we'd try fal's text route first.
VEED's editor, if you already edit there
VEED's help article points anyone making a one-off talking video to the Fabric tool inside VEED, and its API FAQ sends people who want to create or edit without code to the editor. VEED's launch post also offers template characters there, so we'd count the editor as another place where the picture, the voice and the render come together. If you're already paying for Pro or Studio and you'd spend the credits, 30 seconds costs less there than at the API's rate or on any Novoads plan. Keep the Fabric page's 30-second limit in mind if your scripts run longer.
Novoads, if you want the actor, the voice and the render in one place
That's the job we built the talking actor for, and you pay more per 30 seconds for it. We think it fits if you don't want to find a picture, buy a voice track or write code, and if your takes run closer to a minute than to 15 seconds. We'd say it's a poor fit if you make short takes at volume and can run the API yourself, because the per-second rate beats ours at those lengths.
Work out what a take costs you
Our talking actor bills 200 credits a started minute at 720p, with the voice in that price. The pricing page gives each plan's credits, so you can divide it out for your own script.
Check the plan pricesIf you're comparing talking-video tools more widely, we've priced Hedra and D-ID the same way.
Before you choose, time your script. At 12.7 seconds, the API's 720p rate lists at about $1.91. At 60 seconds it lists at $9.00. A started minute with us costs the same 200 credits at both lengths.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is VEED Fabric?
VEED Fabric 1.0 is VEED's own AI lip-sync model. You give it a voice track and a picture with a clear face, and it returns a video of that picture talking, at 480p or 720p. VEED's API takes audio only, while fal's text route and VEED's editor also take typed words.
How much does VEED Fabric cost?
As of November 4, 2026, VEED's API lists Fabric 1.0 at $0.15 a second at 720p. At 480p it's $0.08 a second. By our math, 30 seconds at 720p is $4.50 before tax, paid from prepaid credits with a $10 minimum purchase. In VEED's editor, a full 30-second clip takes 240 credits. The cheapest paid plan, Creator, costs $25 a month in default-market dollars, and editor prices vary by region.
How long can a Fabric video be?
VEED's pages disagree. Its Fabric page says up to 30 seconds on paid plans in the editor. Its API help article says up to 1 minute per call, and its model page says up to 5 minutes. We didn't test any of these limits, so check the page for the route you're buying.
Is VEED trustable for running ads?
VEED's API FAQ says you can use outputs commercially. In the editor, VEED's help site says you need a paid subscription to export without its watermark. We wouldn't lean on the 4.6 with 1,946 reviews on its Fabric pages (read November 4, 2026), because those pages don't name a source and it isn't a rating of Fabric. Our VEED alternatives post covers its ratings on Trustpilot and the app stores. We didn't run a paid job on VEED's API for this post, so we can't speak to its billing first-hand.
What is better than VEED for talking ads?
We think it depends on the job. If you've got a voice track and a pipeline, VEED's API and fal both list 30 seconds at 720p at $4.50 before any voice cost. If you want the actor, the voice and the render in one place, Novoads does that with the voice included, and it costs more at that length. On Starter it's $15.00, and on Plus it's $9.80.
Key Takeaways
- VEED Fabric 1.0 turns one picture and a voice track into a talking video at 480p or 720p. VEED's API needs a finished audio file, while fal's text route and VEED's editor take typed words.
- VEED's API lists 720p at $0.15 a second. By our math, 30 seconds comes to $4.50 before tax, paid from prepaid credits with a $10 minimum purchase.
- VEED's pages give different length limits. Its Fabric page says 30 seconds on paid plans. Its API help article says 1 minute per call, and its model page says 5 minutes. We didn't test any of them.
- In VEED's editor, a full 30-second clip takes 240 credits. At your plan's rate, that's anywhere from $12.00 on Creator billed monthly to $0.62 on Studio billed yearly, in VEED's default-market dollars.
- The talking actor in Novoads runs on Fabric and costs more at 30 seconds on every plan, with the voice included. On Starter that's $15.00 against VEED's $4.50. On Plus it's $9.80.
