A Higgsfield account costs nothing until you need a clean ad
If you were hoping to make a clean video ad on Higgsfield without paying, you can't. Higgsfield does have a $0 Free plan, but its pricing page lists it at 0 credits with limited use of a few image tools, and its help center says every generation on a free account carries a Higgsfield watermark. The help center also says there's no trial period.
We haven't used Higgsfield ourselves. Everything here about Higgsfield comes from its own pricing page, help center and blog, which we read from Spain on October 26, 2026. Where a page carries an older date, we give that date. The Novoads side comes from our own pricing page and a real render from our account.
What a free Higgsfield account gets
The Free column, row by row
Higgsfield's pricing page lays out its plans side by side in a comparison table. The Free column is labeled "Limited use" and lists 0 credits. When we read it on October 26, it marked four kinds of rows as included for Free.
- Nano Banana Pro images, though not Nano Banana Pro at 4K
- FLUX.2 Pro images
- one character generation, listed as "Up to 1 generation"
- access to characters, and a row called "Higgsfield ads" that the table doesn't explain
Every video model row in that column reads "0 videos" or "Not included", and so do the rows for commercial use and fast-track generation. Higgsfield's pricing guide, dated October 24, 2026, describes the plan the same way. Free has no credits, it says, and you get "limited use of Nano Banana Pro and FLUX.2 Pro for images and one Character generation." Its help center, in an article updated September 14, 2026, says you can generate without a paid plan, but that this access "is limited to a small set of models and doesn't include credits."
Other Higgsfield pages mention free credits
Not every Higgsfield page agrees with that 0. Its AI image page answers "Is Higgsfield free to use?" by saying you can start generating "immediately with free daily credits." Its logo generator page says the free plan gives you daily free credits, and its AI Influencer page says you "get free credits to create your first influencer and run a video." None of the three says how many. We'd go by the pricing page and the guide, since they're the two pages that list what each plan includes, and treat any sign-up credits as a bonus you can't plan an ad around.
Free generations come with the paid plans
Higgsfield's plan cards also list "free gens", and they're easy to misread. They appear on the Starter, Plus and Ultra cards, and the counts change with the plan and the billing period. On a desktop in Spain on October 26, the cards showed these counts.
- Starter came with 10 on Higgsfield AI Influencer and 10 on Higgsfield Ads Studio, and none on Higgsfield Genjutsu.
- Plus and Ultra came with 30 on AI Influencer, 10 on Ads Studio, and 3 on Genjutsu at 720p with annual billing (2 with monthly billing).
Higgsfield's help center, in an article updated September 22, 2026, calls these a one-time pool you get when you buy the plan, and says they don't renew with the subscription. The pricing page adds that these free generations, like Unlimited models, work only on higgsfield.ai and can't be used through MCP, CLI, Canvas or Supercomputer.
Free jobs wait in a shared queue
Free and Unlimited generations "run on a shared pool, so they can take longer, depending on current load," according to a help center article updated October 24, 2026. On the comparison table, a free account also gets one job at a time. We'd use that to test a single product shot on Nano Banana Pro, but a batch of ad variations would wait in line, one image after another.

Can you run a free Higgsfield output as an ad?
Every free generation carries the watermark
Higgsfield's help center is unusually direct about this, which is why our Higgsfield review leans on it too. Its article on the watermark was published August 3, 2026, and last changed August 28. It says the watermark "depends on your account type, not on the model, the credits used, or the output quality." On a free account, every generation carries a Higgsfield watermark, while on any paid plan none do. There's no setting that turns it off.
The same article draws a line between that visible mark and the invisible, machine-readable markers Higgsfield may embed to flag content as AI-made. You won't see those in your file, and upgrading doesn't remove them.
The rule is written for generations on higgsfield.ai. Higgsfield's API is a separate product that "runs on its own key and dollar balance," as its help center puts it, so we wouldn't assume the watermark rule applies to API output. Our guide to the Higgsfield API covers that side.
Upgrading doesn't clean up old files
If you make something on Free and subscribe later, the file stays watermarked. Higgsfield's article says to regenerate it on the paid plan for a clean version, and that you can't buy watermark removal separately. It works the other way too. When a paid period ends, new generations "follow the free account rules," so they carry the mark again, but files you made during the paid period stay as they were.
Higgsfield's pages disagree on commercial use
Two Higgsfield pages say Free results aren't for commercial use.
- The comparison table on the pricing page, read October 26, marks commercial use "Not included" on Free and included from Starter up.
- The October 24 guide says of Free, "You can't use the results commercially," and its plan picker pairs "Try the platform without paying" with "Free (no commercial use)."
Two others say commercial use doesn't depend on the plan.
- A help center article updated September 12, 2026, asks "Is commercial use of outputs restricted to paid plans?" and answers "No. The Terms of Use do not tie commercial use rights to a specific plan."
- The Terms of Use, last updated October 23, 2026, say the company doesn't restrict your commercial use of outputs.
The September 12 article adds its own caution. Publishing watermarked content in commercial contexts "may not be appropriate depending on your use case," it says, and paid plans include watermark-free downloads.
We wouldn't try to settle which page is right, because an advertiser ends up in the same place either way. Whichever page you go by, a free file carries Higgsfield's watermark, and Higgsfield's own help center flags that as a possible problem for commercial use. If the ad has to run without Higgsfield's mark on it, generate it on a paid plan, and remember that files you made before upgrading have to be generated again.
Does Higgsfield have a free trial?
The help center says there's no trial period
Higgsfield's article on how its plans work, updated September 14, 2026, answers the question head-on. "There's no trial period," it says, and it points you to the free tier, with its limited set of models, as the place to explore before you upgrade.
The one-day unlimited offer ended in July
If you've read about a day of free unlimited generation on Higgsfield, that was a July 2026 promotion. Higgsfield's July 22 post offered a one-day trial to new users on the free plan. It ended on July 23 at 1:30 PM UTC. A July 27 post then pushed the window out to July 29.
Under the offer's terms, it was a trial of the paid Plus plan. You added a card at checkout, you weren't charged when you activated it, and once the 24 hours were up, the subscription renewed into a monthly Plus plan. So as of October 26, 2026, there's no trial to start, and the July offer doesn't change that.
A $3 card on the phone version of the page
On a phone in Spain on October 26, Higgsfield's pricing page showed one more card, a $3 one-time access offer. It came with 40 credits and two days of unlimited Higgsfield Soul 2.0. That's a paid offer rather than a trial, and the desktop page didn't show it on the same visit, so you may never see it.
What Unlimited covers on Higgsfield
Unlimited comes with paid plans
Higgsfield's help center says its mid and top plans include Unlimited models, with "the exact list and period for each model" shown on each plan's card. Its watermark article says you can't get Unlimited without a paid plan. The October 24 guide and the cards we read on October 26 break it down by plan.
- Starter gets a 365-day Unlimited set of two image models, Seedream 5.0 Lite and FLUX.2 Pro at 1K, and no 7-day window, according to the guide. Its desktop card marked Nano Banana 2, Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro "No unlimited".
- Plus gets the guide's larger 365-day set, and its annual card adds 7-day Unlimited on Nano Banana 2 at 2K and on Kling 3.0. With monthly billing, the Kling 3.0 week dropped off the card.
- Ultra gets the same 365-day set as Plus and more 7-day models, Nano Banana Pro at 2K among them.
If Kling or Nano Banana is the model you came for, we've covered whether Kling AI is free and whether Nano Banana is free in separate posts.
Unlimited runs in the standard queue and ends with the plan
Higgsfield's help center says Unlimited generations run in the standard queue, while generations paid for with credits always run in the priority queue. It also says that if your subscription ends, Unlimited access stops working, even if its period hasn't finished. So if you cancel, you lose whatever's left of an Unlimited period along with the plan.
The banners on the pricing page are promotions
The pricing page showed two banners on October 26, and neither gave an end date. One, aimed at new sign-ups, offered 7 days of Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro Unlimited on the Ultra plan with a 30% discount. The other advertised 30 days of Unlimited Seedance 2.5, for business plans only.
We'd read both as promotions we saw on that date. Higgsfield's July post about an earlier Seedance Unlimited offer now carries the line "This offer has ended."
What the first paid Higgsfield plan costs
Prices as of October 26, 2026, except the guide's dollar figures, which keep the guide's own October 24 date.
Starter in dollars
Higgsfield's pricing guide lists Starter at $15 a month for 200 credits, with commercial use. It describes Starter as access to selected models and aims it at images, short 720p clips and lipsync with Wan 2.5 Speak. The guide says its prices were verified on the pricing page in October 2026, but that page doesn't show every visitor the same entry plan, as we walked through in our Higgsfield pricing breakdown.
What the pricing page showed us in Spain
The pricing page showed us the entry plan in euros, and it wasn't the same plan on every device.
| Where we read it | Entry plan | Price | Credits a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Higgsfield's guide | Starter | $15 a month | 200 |
| Pricing page, desktop | Starter | €19 a month | 270 |
| Pricing page, phone | Basic | €5 a month | 70 |
On desktop, Starter didn't get cheaper with annual billing. It's €19 a month either way. The Basic card on the phone said "No unlimited models" and "Access to selected models only".
What Starter's credits buy, and what they don't
Higgsfield's desktop Starter card translates its 270 credits into 135 Nano Banana Pro generations. Spent on video, it says, they come to about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos.
Seedance 2.5 isn't part of that plan. Higgsfield's help center says Seedance 2.5 "isn't included in Starter and Basic", and the October 24 guide lists it on Plus and Ultra. The comparison table also marks full Seedance 2.0 as not included on Starter, but Seedance 2.0 Fast at 720p as included.
Trying Higgsfield and asking for a refund
If you pay for a plan to try Higgsfield, its refund rules decide how far you can test before you're locked in. Higgsfield's refund article, updated October 24, 2026, lays them out.
- A refund covers a first purchase, within 7 days or as local law allows, and only if no credits have been used.
- Renewals aren't refundable.
- Using the plan's free generations or Unlimited models doesn't count as using credits.
- A service fee of up to 6% applies, and an approved refund cancels the subscription at once.
So if you buy Starter to test it, start with its free generations and Unlimited models. Under those rules, spending a single credit makes the purchase non-refundable.
How Novoads prices the first ad you can run
Novoads is an AI UGC video ad generator. You upload a product image or write a script, pick an AI actor, and get back an ad-ready video.
Starter at $15 a month, paid from the first month
Novoads doesn't have an unpaid tier. Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, billed monthly only, and like every plan, it's paid from the first month. Since September 20, 2026, we've set our credit to the same unit as Higgsfield's, so a Nano Banana Pro image costs 2 credits in both places. Our pricing page translates Starter's 200 credits into 100 Nano Banana Pro generations. Spent on video, they come to about 8 Seedance 2.0 clips of 5 seconds.

A Seedance 2.5 run, priced in Starter credits
On September 21, 2026, we gave Novoads a one-line prompt for Seedance 2.5, a woman in a bright kitchen who holds a small glass serum bottle toward the camera and smiles. The clip came back 5 seconds long at 1080p. It took 8 minutes 38 seconds to render. It cost 60 credits, and that's still the clip's price today.

Seedance 2.5 · prompt: a woman in a bright kitchen holds a small glass serum bottle toward the camera and smiles · 60 credits for 5 seconds at 1080p · rendered 2026-09-21
Starter's credits cover three of those clips, which works out to $4.50 a clip by our math.
- Three clips at 60 credits each use 180 credits and leave 20.
- $15 for 200 credits is 7.5 cents a credit.
- 60 credits at 7.5 cents comes to $4.50 a clip.
It's cheaper at 720p. Our pricing page lists Seedance 2.5 at 35 credits for 5 seconds at that resolution. That's five clips a month on Starter.
Where Higgsfield's first step costs less
For some jobs, Higgsfield's first step is the cheaper one, and it's worth knowing which before you pay either of us.
- Trying an image model with no money down. Higgsfield's Free plan, per its October 24 guide, gives you limited Nano Banana Pro and FLUX.2 Pro images at $0, though they're watermarked. Novoads has no unpaid tier.
- A smaller first payment. On a phone in Spain on October 26, Higgsfield's entry plan was Basic at €5 a month for 70 credits. The $3 one-time card offered 40 credits. Our smallest plan is Starter at $15 a month.
- Lots of stills on two models. The October 24 guide gives Higgsfield's Starter 365-day Unlimited on Seedream 5.0 Lite and FLUX.2 Pro at 1K, in the standard queue. On Novoads, every image costs credits (1 credit for a Seedream 5 Lite image).
Our Starter goes further when the job is a video ad, because you can spend its credits on Seedance 2.5. Higgsfield's help center says that model isn't included in its own Starter and Basic. For the full side-by-side, see Higgsfield vs Novoads.
Which first step fits your ad
Use Higgsfield's Free plan when
- you want to see how Nano Banana Pro or FLUX.2 Pro handles your product photo
- the file never has to run as an ad, since it'll carry Higgsfield's watermark
- you don't mind waiting in a shared queue and running one job at a time
Pay for a plan when
- the output has to run as an ad without Higgsfield's mark on it
- you need video, and Seedance 2.5 in particular, which Higgsfield leaves off its entry plans
- you'll make more than a handful of variations a week
Before you pay anyone, open both pricing pages on the device you'll pay from, and price the exact clip you need, in credits, on each. If you want more options, our list of Higgsfield alternatives compares seven ad-first tools.
Frequently Asked Questions

The one-day free unlimited offer Higgsfield ran in July 2026 needed a card at checkout, renewed into a monthly Plus plan and ended in July.
Can I use Higgsfield's free outputs commercially?
Higgsfield's pages disagree. The comparison table on its pricing page (read October 26, 2026) and its October 24, 2026 guide say commercial use isn't included on Free. A help center article (updated September 12, 2026) and the Terms of Use (updated October 23, 2026) say commercial use isn't tied to a plan. Either way, free generations carry a Higgsfield watermark, and that same help center article says watermarked content may not be appropriate in commercial contexts.
