Is Kaiber AI Free? No, Just a $5 Trial, and What a Clip Costs
Kaiber has no free plan today. The way in is a $5 trial with 500 credits. After five days it turns into Creator at $29 a month. We priced one 5-second ad clip on Kaiber and on Novoads.

Kaiber's way in costs $5, then $29 a month
No, Kaiber AI isn't free. Its free plan, called Flex, is gone, and the way in is a $5 trial that runs for five days. The trial comes with 500 credits. Unless you cancel before the five days are up, it turns into Kaiber's Creator plan at $29 a month. We priced an ad clip on that plan, 5 seconds of Seedance 2.5 at 720p. That's 330 credits, or about $6.38.
We haven't used Kaiber ourselves, and we don't have an account there. Kaiber's side of this post comes from its pricing page, help center and terms, which we read from Spain on October 29, 2026. The pricing page showed its prices in US dollars. We also read Kaiber's Trustpilot and App Store pages. The Novoads side comes from our own price list and a Kling v3 Pro clip we rendered in September.
Kaiber's $5 trial, and the free plan that's gone
What the trial gets you
Kaiber puts the trial at the top of its pricing page, under the heading "Try it for $5 for 5 days." According to its help center, updated June 17, 2026, you get full access to Canvas, Editor and Beat Sync, with 500 credits to spend. That includes Beat Sync's batch creation of up to 2 videos at a time. In Canvas you can generate videos, images and audio with models like Kling, Wan, Veo and Nano Banana. Beat Sync cuts clips to a music track, and Editor is where you finish a video.
The trial card on the pricing page lists its terms next to the button.
- It's $5 for five days, and then it converts to Creator.
- You can cancel anytime, "no questions asked."
- Your projects are saved if you upgrade.
- There's one trial per account.
Kaiber's app says the same thing in its upgrade window, where the trial "auto-upgrades to Creator Plan ($29/month)." That window also tells you to cancel within the five days to avoid the charge.
Don't count on paying exactly $5, though. Kaiber's terms say its fees don't include taxes, so the charge at checkout can be higher where VAT applies. We couldn't see the checkout page, because you need an account to reach it.
Kaiber's free plan, Flex, is no longer available
Kaiber's FAQ on what changed, updated June 17, 2026, says "Flex Plan: no longer available." Anyone still on Flex keeps access until their credit balance runs out, and the FAQ points everyone else to Starter, Creator or Pro. The pricing page we read lists no $0 plan, only the trial and four paid plans.
Two leftovers from the free plan are still around.
- Kaiber's terms, last modified October 15, 2024, have a free-tier clause. It says Kaiber "may make available" a free tier, only for non-commercial use, and that you can't open more than one account to collect its credits.
- The code behind the pricing page still defines a $0 tier named Flex. That tier has 50 credits and no 1080p export. The same code also contains a free-credits test, which was switched off when we read it.
We read both as history. Nothing a new visitor sees on Kaiber's pages offers either one, so the way in is the $5 trial.
The $5 Mini Pack isn't the trial
The pricing page also sells a Mini Pack for $5, which is easy to mix up with the trial. It's a pack of 300 credits. The trial gives you 500 credits and five days on the full suite, and then it becomes a subscription.

What Kaiber's four plans cost
Prices as of October 29, 2026, in US dollars.
| Plan | Monthly price | Yearly price | Credits a month | Credits a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $10 | $96 | 500 | 6,000 |
| Creator | $29 | $279 | 1,500 | 18,000 |
| Pro | $99 | $948 | 5,000 | 60,000 |
| Visionary | By quote | By quote | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Kaiber labels yearly billing "20% off," and its cards show the yearly price as a monthly figure. Shown that way, Starter comes to $8 a month and Pro to $79. Creator's card says $23 a month. But the yearly charge is $279, and that's closer to $23.25 a month.
What each plan adds
- Starter is "for individuals exploring AI creation." You get one canvas, 3 generations at a time and one timeline in Editor. Its card marks premium AI models, commercial use and Beat Sync as not included, and the help center says Starter comes with "standard models."
- Creator adds premium AI models, commercial use and Beat Sync, with batches of up to 2 videos. You also get unlimited timeline edits and 15 generations at a time across 5 canvases. The help center calls it the most popular plan.
- Pro has unlimited canvases and generations at a time, and Beat Sync batches of up to 10 videos. Kaiber's plan settings also reserve 4K export for Pro.
- Visionary is "for labels and agencies," with unlimited credits, priced by quote through [email protected]. It's the only card that includes white glove support.
Which plan gets every model
Kaiber doesn't say which of its models count as premium. Its Starter card marks premium AI models as not included, while the help center says Creator gets "all Canvas features and generation models." So when we price ad clips below, we use Creator, and we show Starter next to it only for reference.
What Kaiber's credits buy, model by model
Kaiber's help center says a generation's cost "depends on the type of video or image, which model is used and the duration," and that the cost shows next to the generate button. We couldn't see that button without an account, so these rates come from the code Kaiber's website uses to price each generation. We read it on October 29, 2026, and Kaiber can change the rates at any time.
Video, in credits per second
| Model | Credits per second | Settings |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | 31, 66 or 160 | 480p, 720p or 1080p |
| Seedance 2.0 | 20, 42, 95 or 218 | 480p, 720p, 1080p or 4K |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 16 or 34 | 480p or 720p |
| Kling 3.0 Pro | 24 with audio, 16 without | Audio on by default |
| Kling 3.0 Standard | 20 with audio, 15 without | Audio on by default |
| Kling 3.0 4K | 59 | One rate |
| Veo 3.1 | 45 with audio, 30 without | 4, 6 or 8 seconds |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | 30 with audio, 20 without | 4, 6 or 8 seconds |
| Veo 3.1 Lite | 10 with audio, 5 without | 4, 6 or 8 seconds |
A Seedance clip costs its per-second rate times its length, and audio doesn't change the price. Kaiber added Seedance 2.5 to Canvas on August 19, 2026, and its guide says clips can run up to 30 seconds. For what Seedance costs outside Kaiber, our Seedance 2.0 pricing post covers the API and other apps.
Kaiber prices Kling 3.0 Pro by the total length of your shots, so a 5-second shot with audio costs 120 credits. Kling also sells plans of its own, which we priced in our post on whether Kling AI is free.
On Kaiber, Veo 3.1 has no 5-second option. With audio on, an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip takes 360 credits. Fast brings that down to 240, and Lite to 80.
Images, at a flat rate per picture
Kaiber charges the same number of credits for every image on a given model.
- Nano Banana Pro costs 20 credits an image.
- GPT Image 2.5 costs 15, in both its Flare and Sunburst versions.
- GPT Image 2 costs 10.
If Nano Banana is the model you want, our Nano Banana post covers when it's free in Gemini and what an image costs.
Credit packs, and what a credit is worth
The help center says you can top up at any time with a credit pack, and the pricing page lists four.
- Mini Pack, 300 credits for $5
- Small Pack, 1,000 credits for $15
- Big Pack, 3,500 credits for $50
- Super Pack, 20,000 credits for $250
Divide each price by its credits, and you get what a Kaiber credit costs. We did that math ourselves.
- 1 cent on the trial, though you only get one trial
- 1.25 cents in the Super Pack
- About 1.55 cents on Creator billed yearly, the lowest plan rate
- 2 cents on Starter billed monthly
Do unused credits roll over?
Kaiber's help center says credits "don't expire and roll over month to month, so anything unused carries forward." Its terms, last modified October 15, 2024, say service credits expire one year after purchase or issuance unless stated otherwise at purchase. They also say the credits aren't refundable. The two pages don't agree, so we'd plan around the terms, the stricter of the two.

What a 5-second ad clip costs on Kaiber and on Novoads
We priced two 5-second clips on both tools. One is Seedance 2.5 at 720p. The other is Kling 3.0 Pro with audio on, the model we sell as Kling v3 Pro. In Novoads, the Seedance clip costs 35 credits and the Kling clip costs 10.
Prices as of October 29, 2026, billed monthly.
| Kaiber Creator | Kaiber Starter | Novoads Starter | Novoads Plus | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | $29 | $10 | $15 | $49 |
| Credits each month | 1,500 | 500 | 200 | 1,000 |
| Seedance 2.5 clip | 330 credits | 330 credits | 35 credits | 35 credits |
| Seedance 2.5 cost | ~$6.38 | ~$6.60 | ~$2.63 | ~$1.72 |
| Seedance clips a month | 4 | 1 | 5 | 28 |
| Kling 3.0 Pro clip | 120 credits | 120 credits | 10 credits | 10 credits |
| Kling 3.0 Pro cost | ~$2.32 | ~$2.40 | ~75 cents | ~49 cents |
| Kling clips a month | 12 | 4 | 20 | 100 |
The cost rows are simple division, and the Kling row uses the same rates.
- On Kaiber Creator, $29 buys 1,500 credits at about 1.93 cents each, so 330 credits come to about $6.38.
- On Novoads Starter, $15 buys 200 credits at 7.5 cents each, so 35 credits come to about $2.63.
- On Novoads Plus, $49 buys 1,000 credits at 4.9 cents each, so 35 credits come to about $1.72.
Kaiber's Starter column is there for reference only, since Kaiber doesn't say whether these models count as premium.
Both clips cost less in Novoads than on any Kaiber plan. A Kaiber credit is cheaper, but the Seedance clip takes 330 Kaiber credits and only 35 of ours. Even at the Super Pack's 1.25 cents a credit, that clip still costs about $4.13 on Kaiber.
The settings we matched, and the ones we didn't
- The Seedance 2.5 clip is 5 seconds at 720p on both tools. Kaiber's Seedance price doesn't change with audio.
- We priced Kaiber's Kling 3.0 Pro with audio on, which is its default. With audio off it's 80 credits, about $1.55 on Creator. Our Kling v3 Pro has audio on by default too.
- A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 720p is 210 Kaiber credits and 23 in Novoads.
- A Nano Banana Pro image is 20 Kaiber credits and 2 in Novoads at 1K or 2K.
We left Veo 3.1 out of the table, because Kaiber doesn't offer a 5-second Veo clip and splits Veo into three tiers. In Novoads, Google Veo 3.1 costs a flat 72 credits at any length, about $3.53 on Plus. On Kaiber Creator, an 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio comes to about $6.96, so ours costs less. Fast comes to about $4.64, which falls between our Starter and Plus prices. Lite comes to about $1.55, cheaper than our Veo 3.1 on any of our plans.
We made this 5-second Kling v3 Pro clip on September 30, 2026, from a single-line prompt through our API. At 1080p, it cost 10 credits, the same as the Kling clip we priced.
Kling v3 Pro in Novoads · prompt: a young woman in a sunlit kitchen holds a small serum bottle to the camera and says "this changed my mornings" · 5 seconds, 1080p, 9:16 · 10 credits · rendered 2026-09-30
Where Kaiber is cheaper, and where we are
Kaiber comes out ahead in four places.
- Its entry price is lower. Kaiber's Starter costs $10 a month, or $8 billed yearly. Ours costs $15 a month, billed monthly only.
- The $5 trial gets you five days on the full suite. We don't match that, because Novoads is paid from the first month.
- Kaiber's help center says unused credits carry over to the next month. Ours reset when your plan renews.
- Its Veo 3.1 Lite tier costs less than our Veo 3.1.
We come out ahead on the clips. Both clips above cost less in Novoads on every plan we compared, and so do the Seedance 2.0 clip and the Nano Banana Pro image. Our cheapest video model, Seedance 2.0 Mini, costs 5 credits for a 5-second clip. On Plus, that's about 25 cents. Our FAQ says every video you generate with Novoads is fully licensed for commercial use.
We also built Novoads around the ad itself. You start from a product photo or a script, pick an AI actor, and get a video with a voice, lip-sync and captions, sized for vertical, square or horizontal ads. Kaiber's help center says Kaiber is "built for musicians and the people who market them, content creators and hobbyists," and if you're cutting visuals to a song, Beat Sync is made for that. Our pricing page showed these three plans with monthly billing the same morning we read Kaiber's.

We priced the same Seedance 2.5 clip on Krea in our Krea pricing post, our Krea alternatives list prices a 5-second clip on Krea's rivals, and our Kling alternatives list compares Kling's price per second across tools.
Can a Kaiber video run as an ad?
Commercial use starts on Creator
On Kaiber's pricing page, the Creator and Pro cards include commercial use, and the Starter card marks it as not included. Kaiber's help center lists "commercial use rights" as part of Creator. None of the Kaiber pages we read say whether you can use what you make during the trial commercially. We'd ask Kaiber's support before running a trial clip as an ad.
What Kaiber's terms say you own
Kaiber's terms, last modified October 15, 2024, say you keep ownership of the output you generate, apart from any third-party content in it. They also let you use that output "for any purpose if you comply with this Agreement." The same terms limit any free tier to non-commercial use.
Exports and music rights
- On Starter and Creator, you can export at up to 1080p. Kaiber's plan settings reserve 4K export for Pro.
- Beat Sync doesn't stop you from uploading copyrighted music. Its FAQ, updated June 17, 2026, says "If you're posting to social platforms or creating for commercial use make sure you have the rights or the track is cleared for use."
For ad work, our reading is that you'll want Creator at the least, Pro if you need 4K files, and music you've cleared yourself.
Renewal, canceling, refunds and taxes
Canceling before the trial converts
To keep the trial from turning into Creator, cancel before the five days are up. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your account page, which you reach through the profile icon in Kaiber's toolbar. Kaiber's help center, updated June 17, 2026, says an upgrade takes effect immediately. It also says that after you cancel or downgrade, you keep your current access until the end of your billing period.
Refunds and VAT
- Kaiber's terms say payments "are nonrefundable except as provided in this Agreement."
- Credits aren't refundable either, and the terms call all sales of service credits final.
- Fees are payable in US dollars and don't include taxes, and Kaiber "may invoice you for such Taxes." So if VAT applies where you are, you may pay more than the listed price.
What Kaiber's users say
We read Kaiber's Trustpilot and App Store pages on October 29, 2026. Trustpilot lists the company as Kaiber Superstudio, with a TrustScore of 2.5 from 169 reviews, which it rates "Poor." About half of the reviews give five stars. Another 41% give one star. The page also says Kaiber replied to 76% of its negative reviews.
Three of the reviews we could read are about the $5 trial. The newest of them is a one-star review updated in late October. Its author writes that they signed up for the trial on October 4, and its title says they were charged $29.
On Apple's App Store, Kaiber's iPhone app is now called Kaiber Legacy. It's free to download, with in-app purchases, and the listing showed a 4.6 rating from 478 ratings. Kaiber's note there says "a new Kaiber app is on its way." So as we read it, that rating belongs to the older app. Kaiber's help center, updated August 25, 2026, says you can also use Kaiber in your mobile browser.
We asked the same question about Higgsfield's plans, too.

Trying Kaiber for ads without a surprise charge
The trial is a fair test of Canvas and Beat Sync. Just set a reminder for day four. If a clip will run as an ad, plan on Creator rather than Starter, and budget about $6.38 for each Seedance 2.5 clip like the one we priced.
Cancel by day five if Kaiber doesn't fit, since the trial turns into a $29 Creator subscription on its own. If you'd rather price your clips on Novoads, you'll find every plan on our pricing page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Kaiber AI free?
No. Kaiber's FAQ, updated June 17, 2026, says the Flex plan is no longer available. The pricing page we read on October 29, 2026, lists no $0 plan. The way in is a five-day trial that Kaiber shows at $5. It comes with 500 credits and full access to Canvas, Editor and Beat Sync. Unless you cancel within the five days, it turns into the Creator plan at $29 a month. Kaiber's terms say its fees don't include taxes, so the charge at checkout can be higher where VAT applies.
How much does a Kaiber AI subscription cost?
On Kaiber's pricing page, read October 29, 2026, Starter costs $10 a month for 500 credits. Creator costs $29 a month for 1,500 credits, and Pro costs $99 for 5,000. Billed yearly, the three plans cost $96, $279 and $948 a year. Visionary has unlimited credits and is priced by quote. Credit packs run from 300 credits for $5 up to 20,000 credits for $250.
Can you use Kaiber videos in ads?
On Creator and Pro, yes. Kaiber's pricing page, read October 29, 2026, includes commercial use on those two plans and marks it as not included on Starter. Kaiber's terms, last modified October 15, 2024, say you own the output you generate, apart from any third-party content in it. The terms also limit any free tier to non-commercial use. If you use Beat Sync, Kaiber's FAQ asks you to make sure the music is cleared for commercial use.
How many credits does one Kaiber video cost?
It depends on the model, the resolution and the length. At the rates Kaiber's website used on October 29, 2026, Seedance 2.5 costs 66 credits a second at 720p. So a 5-second clip at that resolution takes 330 credits. Kling 3.0 Pro costs 24 credits a second with audio on, or 120 credits for 5 seconds. Kaiber's help center says the exact cost shows next to the generate button once you're signed in.
Key Takeaways
- Kaiber AI has no free plan today. Its FAQ says the Flex plan is no longer available, and the pricing page lists only a trial and paid plans.

- On Creator, a 5-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p takes 330 credits, or about $6.38. The same clip costs 35 credits in Novoads, about $2.63 on our Starter plan.
- Kaiber wins on entry price, the $5 trial, unused credits that roll over and its Veo 3.1 Lite tier. Novoads costs less for the Seedance and Kling clips we priced, and our FAQ says every video is licensed for commercial use.
