Pick the Pollo alternative by the ad you make

If you're leaving Pollo AI, or deciding not to start with it, the best replacement depends on the ad you make. Each of these six tools is built and priced around a different kind of clip.

So we've sorted our quick picks by the kind of ad.

  • If your ad is an AI actor reading your script to camera, start with Novoads.
  • If you only need Kling's own models, Kling's Standard plan is the cheapest of the six on monthly billing.
  • If you want more than 100 image, video and audio models in one studio, try OpenArt.
  • If you want UGC-style video and product photos from one plan, look at Higgsfield.
  • If you mostly make Seedance clips and can pay for a year, Krea's Basic plan is $5.25 a month.
  • If the ad is a cinematic short, go to Runway.

We haven't used Pollo or the other five tools ourselves. We read each one's own pricing page on October 27, 2026, signed out and from Spain. Pollo's pricing page didn't open for us, so its figures come from its US App Store listing and from a copy of its model page that the Internet Archive saved on October 14. For Novoads, we used our own price list and one of our own runs.

Pollo AI and six alternatives, side by side

Prices as of October 27, 2026, from each tool's own page, with the billing period beside every price. Higgsfield's price is in euros, the way its page showed it to a visitor from Spain, and we haven't converted it.

Kling's $6.99 first month was a first-purchase offer, so the table shows the price after it. Higgsfield's card says its yearly price is the same as its monthly one. Pollo's two Lite prices are monthly subscriptions in its iPhone app on the US App Store, and neither shows a credit count. The per-clip figure for Pollo comes from its model page as the Internet Archive saved it on October 14.

Why ad makers look past Pollo AI

Credits that last one billing cycle

Pollo's own reply to a one-star Trustpilot review, posted October 19, 2026, says credits on monthly and annual plans are valid for 30 days per cycle and can't be carried over to the next one. Its pricing FAQ, as the Internet Archive saved it on October 12, said unused subscription credits don't carry over, but add-on credits don't expire and stay usable after a subscription ends.

So buy a plan you'll use up. Novoads' plan credits also reset at each renewal and don't roll over, so this isn't a point in our favor.

What Pollo's terms say about canceling

Pollo's terms and conditions, effective April 30, 2026, cover canceling in a few lines.

  • You can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle you've paid for.
  • You have to cancel before the next billing date. If you don't, you're charged for the next period, and the terms say that charge isn't refundable.
  • Pollo doesn't issue partial refunds or prorated credits for unused time, mid-cycle cancellations or downgrades.

Those lines are about proration. The same terms say fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise, and that Pollo may issue refunds at its own discretion. Pollo's separate refund policy also describes a short refund window for subscription credits right after a first purchase. If you subscribed in the iPhone or Android app, the plan is an in-app purchase, so Apple or Google bills you for it.

As we read the terms, you should cancel a few days before your billing date and not count on getting back the unused part of a month.

What reviewers complain about, and how they rate Pollo

The low reviews we read complain about credits more than anything else, as these three do.

  • An App Store review dated May 6 (the page shows no year), titled "RIP OFF!!", says "You purchase a subscription, just to find out you have to pay even more for credits."
  • A two-star Trustpilot review from a US Pro member, posted October 11, 2026, says generations advertised as "10 days free unlimited" were "very much limited to only a certain amount of generations per day".
  • A one-star Trustpilot review from Germany, posted October 10, 2026, says that after signing up, "I had 0 credits, so basically, I couldn't even get started." Pollo replied that first-time registered users get 20 credits as a registration bonus.

Even so, Pollo's ratings were high when we looked on October 27, 2026.

  • 4.3 on Trustpilot from 5,572 reviews, with Trustpilot's own note that Pollo hasn't invited customers to review recently.
  • 4.5 out of 5 on the US App Store, from 13K ratings.
  • 4.6 on Google Play in the US, from 57.3K reviews.

So most people who rate Pollo are happy with it. Of the 100 recent Trustpilot reviews we read, a dozen were low. About half of those were about credits and cost (credits that expire, sign-up credits, a capped "unlimited" mode, paying for retries), and the rest were about output quality, content rules or billing, or gave no reason. Our Pollo AI review goes through its models and credit rules in full.

Six Pollo AI alternatives and what each does best for ads

We list each tool's entry plan as its own page showed it on October 27, 2026. What we'd use each one for is our own judgment.

Novoads: talking-actor UGC ads from a script

In Novoads, you write or paste a script, pick an AI actor from the library, and get back a UGC-style video ad with the voice and lip-sync done. You can spend the same credits on video models such as Seedance 2.5, Kling v3 Pro and Google Veo 3.1, and on image models such as Nano Banana Pro, so the talking ad, the B-roll and the product shots all come out of one balance.

On October 20, 2026, we made a 15-second talking-actor ad through the Novoads MCP connector. Emma, an actor from our library, read a script about linen sheets for hot sleepers in the voice Alexandra. We rendered it at 720p, and it came back in 1 minute 40 seconds with the script read word for word.

Four frames from a 15-second Novoads talking-actor ad, with library actor Emma talking to camera in a bedroom Talking actor · a 15-second hot-sleeper script about linen sheets, read by library actor Emma with the voice Alexandra, made through the Novoads MCP connector at 720p · 200 credits · rendered 2026-10-20 in 1 min 40 s

That ad cost 200 credits. At 720p, talking-actor clips cost 200 credits a minute, and a started minute counts as a full one. On Starter, that's the whole month's allowance, and on Plus it's a fifth of the 1,000 monthly credits. You pay for Novoads from the first month, and our plan credits reset at each renewal, the way Pollo's do. If you want the widest choice of models, Pollo and OpenArt both list more than we do.

Higgsfield: UGC-style video and product photos on one plan

Higgsfield's pricing page sorts its plans by the job, and "UGC & product video ads" comes first, ahead of marketing product photos, cinematic videos and personal use. For a visitor from Spain, Starter showed €19 a month billed annually, for 270 credits a month. The card says that's the same as paying monthly. Its free plan is listed as "Limited use".

The page also lists how many credits a five-second clip of each model takes. Kling 3.0 takes about 7 credits at 720p and about 8 at 1080p. Seedance 2.0 at 720p takes about 22.

We'd pick Higgsfield when you want product photos and short UGC-style video from one plan. Our Higgsfield pricing breakdown goes through its plans, and our list of Higgsfield alternatives covers when to leave it.

Kling: Kling's own models on the smallest monthly bill

Kling sells its own models straight from its app, and its membership page pitches native 30-second generation. That day, Standard showed $6.99 for the first month as a first-purchase offer, then $8.8 a month. It includes 660 credits a month, watermark removal and commercial use. Basic costs $0 and lists no monthly credits, and Kling's credit guide says Basic output isn't for commercial use.

That guide is dated July 28, 2026. It puts Standard's 660 credits at about 33 videos at 720p, without saying how long each video is. It also tells you to choose a plan by your real project volume rather than by a fixed cost per video.

We'd pick Kling when its own models are all you need and you want the lowest price on monthly billing. We cover what a $0 Kling account gets you and the Kling alternatives, priced per second in their own posts.

OpenArt: more than 100 models in one studio

OpenArt puts more than 100 premium image, video and audio models behind one account. That day, Starter showed $14 per seat billed monthly, or $13 per seat a month billed annually. It includes 4,000 credits a month. The card says that's up to about 4,000 images or about 50 videos, Director excluded.

For ads, the plan to look at is Plus, because OpenArt's terms allow commercial use of what you make from the Plus plan up. Plus showed $34 per seat a month, or $27 billed annually. It comes with 12,000 credits a month and lists commercial use rights. Its FAQ says new accounts get 40 trial credits to use within seven days.

We'd pick OpenArt for testing many models side by side, as long as you budget for Plus once you run the output as an ad. Our OpenArt pricing post covers every plan.

Krea: Seedance clips on a small yearly plan

Krea's Basic plan costs $5.25 a month billed yearly, or $9 billed monthly. Either way, it includes 5,000 compute units a month. Basic covers selected Seedance models (Krea lists 2, Fast and Mini) and comes with a commercial license. Seedance 2.5 needs Pro or above. The free plan gives you 100 units a day, but no commercial license.

Pro showed $21 a month billed yearly, or $35 monthly. It includes 20,000 units a month and every video model, Veo 3.1 and Kling among them.

We'd pick Krea, on a yearly plan, for cheap Seedance clips you'll run as ads. Our Krea pricing post goes through the rest of its plans.

Runway: cinematic shorts, plus Runway Ads

Runway's Standard plan includes Runway Ads, which Runway describes as a way to generate, test and publish ads. That day, Standard showed $15 a month, or $12 a month billed annually. Runway's card says its 625 monthly credits buy 52 seconds of Gen-4.5, with no watermarks. The free plan comes with 125 credits once. A promotion on the page that day took 25% off Kling 4.0 generations until November 30.

We'd pick Runway for a cinematic short or a brand film. We compare it with Novoads on our Runway comparison page, and our Runway alternatives post prices each option per second.

What one five-second clip costs on each entry plan

A credit buys a different amount on every tool, so the fair way to compare them is in money. For each tool that publishes credits per clip or per second, we took the entry plan's price per credit and multiplied it by the number of credits a five-second clip takes. The arithmetic is ours, and every input is the vendor's own figure as of October 27, 2026.

The tools that price a clip by the second

  • Novoads Starter, $15 for 200 credits (7.5 cents a credit). A five-second Seedance 2.0 Mini clip is 5 credits, about 38 cents. Kling v3 Pro at 1080p with audio is 10 credits, or 75 cents. Seedance 2.0 at 720p is 23 credits, about $1.73.
  • Novoads Plus, $49 for 1,000 credits (4.9 cents a credit). The same three clips come to about 25 cents, 49 cents and $1.13.
  • Higgsfield Starter, €19 for 270 credits (about 7 euro cents a credit, for a visitor from Spain). Kling 3.0 at 720p comes to about 49 euro cents. Seedance 2.0 at 720p is about €1.55. We've left both in euros. Higgsfield's Kling 3.0 line doesn't say which mode it uses or whether audio is on, so it may not be the same clip as our Kling v3 Pro.
  • Runway Standard, 625 credits a month, with Gen-4.5 at 60 credits for five seconds. That clip comes to about $1.15 on the yearly price, or about $1.44 billed monthly.
  • Pollo, priced in credits only. Its October 14 list put a five-second Kling 3.0 clip at 30 credits in standard mode without audio. In pro mode with audio, it was 75. Seedance 2.0 was 20 credits a second at 720p, so 100 for five seconds. We couldn't see how many credits Pollo's plans include, so there's no dollar figure. The list also marked those models as discounted that day, without saying for whom or for how long, so these are the figures before any discount.

Where a rival is cheaper per clip than we are

  • Krea Pro, for Seedance 2.5. Krea's own table gives Pro about 23 Seedance 2.5 clips a month at five seconds and 720p. At $35 monthly, that's about $1.52 a clip. At $21 a month billed yearly, it's about 91 cents. The same clip is 35 credits with us, about $2.63 on Starter. On Plus it's about $1.72 billed monthly, or about $1.37 billed annually, so for Seedance 2.5, Krea Pro is the cheaper buy either way.
  • Runway, for a different model. A five-second Gen-4.5 clip costs more than our 75-cent Kling v3 Pro clip and less than our Seedance 2.0 clip on Starter. We don't offer Gen-4.5, so the choice there comes down to the look you want.

The video counts that can't be lined up

Three of the plans count videos instead of giving credits per clip, and none of them says how long a video is.

  • OpenArt's Starter card says up to about 50 videos (Director excluded), without naming a model.
  • Krea's Basic card says about 15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos.
  • Kling's credit guide puts Standard at about 33 videos at 720p.

Dividing a plan's price by one of those counts gives you a figure you can't set beside anything else. Krea's own page shows the gap. Its Pro card says about 65 Seedance 2.5 videos. Its comparison table, which states the settings, says about 23 at five seconds and 720p.

Our own pricing card does the same. "Up to 5 UGC videos per month" on Starter doesn't say which model or what length. And a talking-actor ad like ours isn't one of those five, since it's billed by the started minute.

The Novoads pricing page with Monthly selected, showing the Starter, Plus and Ultra plan cards with their prices and monthly credits Screenshot: novoads.ai/en/pricing with Monthly selected, taken 2026-10-27

Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits, billed monthly only. Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits. Billed annually, Plus is $39 a month, and our pricing page lists the Ultra tiers too.

Which alternative fits the ad you make

Each kind of ad needs a different plan, as well as a different tool.

  • In Novoads, a talking-actor ad at 720p costs 200 credits per started minute. So a 15-second ad and a 50-second ad cost the same. Plan on Plus if you'll make more than one a month.
  • Short product clips you'll run as paid ads need a plan that allows commercial use. Going by each vendor's own pages, that's Standard on Kling, Basic on Krea and Plus on OpenArt. We couldn't find a per-plan commercial-use rule on any Pollo page that opened for us, so don't assume a clip from an unpaid Pollo account can run as an ad.
  • A cinematic short is a Runway job, and its Standard plan includes Runway Ads for testing the result.
  • For product photos along with UGC-style video, look at Higgsfield, and for a wide spread of models, OpenArt.

If you're leaving Pollo, cancel before your next billing date. Then, before you buy the plan you're moving to, work out what one five-second clip of your usual model costs on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens to unused Pollo AI credits when you cancel?

Pollo's terms, effective April 30, 2026, say a canceled plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle, and that no partial refunds or prorated credits are issued for unused time, mid-cycle cancellations or downgrades. Pollo also says plan credits last 30 days per cycle and can't be carried over. Its pricing FAQ, as archived on October 12, 2026, said add-on credits don't expire and can still be used after a subscription ends.

Key Takeaways

  • Pollo's terms, effective April 30, 2026, say no partial refunds or prorated credits are issued for unused time, mid-cycle cancellations or downgrades, and that if your cancellation misses the billing date, you're charged for the next period. If you're leaving, cancel before that date.
  • On October 27, 2026, Kling's Standard had the lowest entry price of the six on monthly billing. It was $8.8 a month after a $6.99 first-month offer. Krea's Basic was $5.25 a month billed yearly, or $9 billed monthly.
  • Per five-second clip on the entry plans, Kling v3 Pro is 75 cents on Novoads Starter, and Runway's Gen-4.5 is about $1.15 with yearly billing. On Higgsfield, five seconds of Kling 3.0 at 720p is about 49 euro cents for a visitor from Spain. Pollo's archived list puts five seconds of Kling 3.0 in standard mode at 30 credits, but we couldn't see how many credits its plans include, so there's no dollar figure.
  • For a five-second Seedance 2.5 clip at 720p, Krea's Pro plan is cheaper than Novoads. On Krea it's about 91 cents billed yearly, against about $1.37 on our Plus plan billed annually. Video counts such as OpenArt's 'up to ~50 videos' don't give a clip length, so they can't be compared.
  • On October 20, 2026, we made a 15-second talking-actor UGC ad with Novoads. It took 1 minute 40 seconds and cost 200 credits. You pay for Novoads from the first month, and every plan is listed on novoads.ai/pricing.
