Pictory Pricing: $25 a Month Billed Annually, What Credits Buy

Pictory has no free plan, and Starter costs $25 a month billed annually or $29 billed monthly. We break down every plan and what its credits buy, then price one 30-second ad on Pictory and in Novoads.

Pictory's $29 plan covers up to 30 minutes a month

Pictory doesn't have a free plan, so you'll need a paid one to export a video without its watermark. The 14-day trial gives you three video projects, and everything you export on it comes out at 720p with Pictory's branding. After that, Starter costs $25 a month billed annually or $29 billed monthly. Billed annually, that's $300 for the year, paid in advance, and all 24,000 of the year's credits arrive up front.

What does one ad cost in those credits? On Starter billed monthly, Pictory pairs 2,000 credits with up to 30 minutes of video. By that ratio, half a minute of video comes to about 33 credits, or roughly 48 cents. At the rate in Pictory's help center, a stock avatar presenting the same half minute costs 15 credits, about 22 cents.

We haven't used Pictory ourselves and don't have an account there. The Pictory figures come from its pricing page, help center, terms and Trustpilot page, which we read on October 29, 2026, from a connection in Spain. Pictory lists its prices in US dollars. The Novoads figures come from our own pricing and one of our renders.

Is Pictory free?

Pictory offers a free trial instead of a free plan. According to its pricing page, the trial lasts 14 days and comes with 300 credits. Pictory pairs those credits with up to 10 minutes of video.

What the 14-day trial includes

The pricing page's comparison table lists the trial's other limits.

  • 3 video projects, each up to 5 minutes long when you generate from a script or a URL
  • 500 MB of storage
  • exports at 720p, with Pictory's branding on them
  • stock avatars, but no custom avatars

Exporting a project again doesn't use up another of the three, because Pictory's FAQ counts all versions of a project as one. An older help-center answer, dated June 26, 2025, says you can use "all our premium features" during the trial. But the pricing table is narrower. It marks custom avatars as not included on the trial.

When the 14 days end

The same help-center answer says that once the trial ends, you keep the account but can't download videos without a paid subscription. Videos you downloaded during the trial carry the Pictory watermark, and a separate help article says the watermark goes away once you subscribe to any paid plan. You can't top up a trial with extra credits either, because Pictory sells credit packs only to paid subscribers.

Pictory's four plans and what each one costs

Pictory dates its current pricing page October 22, 2026, and we read these figures on October 29. The page opens on annual billing, so the first price you see for each plan is the monthly share of a yearly charge.

PlanBilled monthlyBilled annually, per monthCreditsVideo minutes, up to

Teams$199$11918,000 a month or 216,000 a year300 a month or 3,600 a year
EnterpriseCustom pricingCustom pricingCustom AI creditsNot shown

What annual billing changes

  • You pay for the year in advance, and all of its credits arrive on the first day. On a monthly plan, your allowance refreshes every month.
  • By our arithmetic, paying annually saves about 14% on Starter. On Professional it saves about 41%, and on Teams about 40%. So the page's "Save up to 40%" describes the two larger plans.
  • On October 29, the page also listed a consultation with a Pictory video expert for annual subscribers, which it valued at $210.

Pictory says every plan gets the same toolkit, with every model included, and that the plans differ in credits, users, brand kits and storage. Starter covers one user and one brand kit. Cloned avatars, voice clones and five brand kits come with Professional, and Teams has shared brand assets for three or more users. Languages differ too. Starter supports seven, and the two larger plans support 29.

How credits turn into minutes

Pictory's FAQ says each plan's credit allowance is "shown alongside the video minutes it covers," and it lists Professional's 72,000 credits a year as covering 1,080 minutes. That's about 67 credits a minute on Starter and Professional, and 60 on Teams.

The page doesn't say which features draw on those minutes. A help-center article dated September 14, 2026, says credits pay for generated images, video and avatars. None of the pages we read says whether a video built from stock footage uses credits. So we treat the minutes as a ratio Pictory publishes, and the 48 cents for half a minute at the top of this post is an estimate built on that ratio.

Why other pages show 200 minutes a month

If you've seen Starter described with 200 video minutes a month, you were looking at an older Pictory allowance. Several of Pictory's own pages still show older figures.

  • Its plan comparison at app.pictory.ai, which shows up in searches for Pictory's pricing, lists Starter with 200 video minutes and 200 AI credits a month, and it has no date.
  • The help article that ranks first for "pictory pricing" dates from June 26, 2025. It explains the earlier video-minute model, in which a project used up minutes only when you first downloaded it.
  • A help article last updated February 12, 2024, says Getty Images aren't available on Starter, but the current pricing page lists them on Starter.
  • The credits article still gives a Teams example of 50 credits a seat, far below the 18,000 a month in the current table.

What Pictory's credits buy

Every clip, image and avatar you generate comes out of one pool of credits. Pictory's help center publishes the rate card, dated September 14, 2026, and the pricing page repeats the same rates for each model it names.

Video clips, priced by the second

Pictory prices most generated video by the second, and the rate depends on the model.

  • Veo 3.1 renders at 1080p for 20 credits a second without audio, or 40 with audio.
  • Veo 3.1 Fast renders at 1080p for 10 credits a second without audio, or 15 with audio.
  • Pixverse renders at 720p. Its price depends on length, extensions and audio, and it shows up in the prompt box.

At the Veo 3.1 rate, six 8-second clips with audio use up nearly all of Starter's monthly credits.

Images and avatars

Every generated image comes out at 1920 by 1080, and the price depends on the model.

  • Flux Schnell, 0.6 of a credit
  • ByteDance Seedream, 2 credits
  • Nano Banana Lite and Amazon Nova Canvas, 4 credits each
  • Nano Banana, 8 credits
  • Nano Banana Pro, 14 credits

Pictory charges for avatars by the length of the whole video. A stock avatar costs 15 credits per 30 seconds. A custom avatar costs 35. Professional is the first plan with custom avatars, and it includes two.

What credits don't cover, and how to buy more

  • PPT content extraction, Smart Templates, transcription and Copilot don't use credits and come with the base plan.
  • ElevenLabs voice minutes come out of a separate quota.
  • Unused credits roll over to the next cycle and don't expire while your subscription stays active. A June 2026 release note, on a page last updated August 18, 2026, adds that rollover availability and limits may depend on your plan.
  • Only paid subscribers can buy extra credits. Recurring monthly packs start at 500 credits for $25. The largest is 5,000 credits for $199.
  • One-time packs come in three sizes.
    • 500 credits for $25
    • 1,500 credits for $70
    • 3,000 credits for $135

The smallest pack works out to 5 cents a credit, about three and a half times what a credit costs on monthly Starter. If you'd need a pack every month, we think you're better off on a bigger plan.

Pricing one ad on Pictory and in Novoads

We priced three jobs on Pictory's monthly Starter, where a credit costs 1.45 cents, and then the closest equivalents in Novoads.

Three Pictory videos on monthly Starter

  • A 30-second video comes to about 33 credits by the pricing page's own ratio of credits to minutes. That's roughly 48 cents, or about 42 cents on annual Starter.
  • A stock avatar presenting the same half minute costs 15 credits, about 22 cents. Pictory's pages don't say whether that video also counts against the plan's minutes.
  • An 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio costs 320 credits. That's $4.64 on monthly Starter and $4.00 on annual Starter. On Professional, it's $3.15 billed monthly and $1.87 billed annually.

For a custom avatar you need Professional, where 35 credits for half a minute come to about 34 cents on monthly billing.

What the same jobs cost in Novoads

Our Starter plan is $15 a month for 200 credits, and it's billed monthly only. Plus is $49 a month for 1,000 credits.

A Novoads talking actor is an AI actor that delivers your script to camera, and we bill it by the started minute. Anything up to a minute costs 200 credits at 720p. At 480p, it's 100 credits.

  • A 720p talking-actor ad costs $15.00 on Starter, which is the whole month's credits. On Plus, it's $9.80.
  • At 480p, it's $7.50 on Starter and $4.90 on Plus.
  • A Google Veo 3.1 clip costs a flat 72 credits, and we render it with sound. Our default is the same 8 seconds at 1080p. That's $5.40 on Starter and about $3.53 on Plus.
  • A Nano Banana Pro image costs 2 credits at 1K or 2K. That's 15 cents on Starter and about 10 cents on Plus.

Our 23-second render

On October 5, 2026, we made a 23-second talking-actor ad with one call through the Novoads MCP connector. Bárbara, one of our library actors, sits at a desk and reads a script about a tool that builds her weekly reports in about a minute. The ad took 2 minutes 31 seconds to render. It cost 200 credits, a full started minute for 23 seconds of video. A local transcription matched the script word for word.

Four frames from a Novoads talking-actor ad: a woman in a white shirt and a beige knit vest talks to the camera from a wooden desk in a home office Talking actor · a 23-second script read by library actor Bárbara at a desk, about a tool that builds her weekly reports in about a minute · 720p, 9:16, through the Novoads MCP connector · 200 credits, one started minute · rendered 2026-10-05

Where each one costs less

  • Pictory costs far less for a short presenter video. Half a minute with a stock avatar is about 22 cents on monthly Starter. Our 720p talking actor costs $9.80 for the same half minute on Plus, about 45 times as much. Even at 480p, ours costs $4.90. The gap comes from how we bill. A started minute costs 200 credits whether the script runs 23 seconds or a full minute. A Pictory stock avatar and our talking actor are different products, and we haven't compared their output.
  • For Veo 3.1, it depends on the plan. At $4.64, Pictory's monthly Starter costs less than our Starter at $5.40. Our Plus, at about $3.53, costs less than both. Pictory's Professional costs less than our Plus whether you pay monthly or annually. Billed annually, it's $1.87, lower than on any Novoads plan. Our lowest is $2.16, on Ultra 9,000 billed annually.
  • Pictory also sells Veo 3.1 Fast, where the same 8-second clip with audio costs 120 credits. That's about $1.74 on monthly Starter. We don't sell Veo 3.1 Fast.
  • Nano Banana Pro images cost less in Novoads on the entry plans. Ours are 15 cents on Starter and about 10 cents on Plus. On Pictory, an image costs about 20 cents on monthly Starter and about 8 cents on annual Professional.
  • Pictory rolls unused credits over while you're subscribed. Our plan credits reset every month.

If you're pricing more than one tool, we've done the same math for InVideo, VEED, Hedra, Creatify, Synthesia, HeyGen and Captions.

Running a Pictory video as an ad

Resolution, formats and the watermark

On a paid plan you can export at up to 1080p, while the trial stops at 720p. Every plan, the trial included, gives you landscape, portrait (9:16) and square exports. A paid export carries no Pictory watermark, so stock footage under an AI voice gives you a faceless video ad on any paid plan. Stock clips can show their library's watermark in the preview, but a Pictory help-center page dated June 26, 2025, says those marks don't appear in the downloaded video.

What the stock license covers

Pictory's pricing FAQ says you don't owe royalties for visuals or music, because Pictory "has already licensed all the video clips, music and voiceovers for use in your videos." Its terms of service, last updated October 13, 2026, set the limits of that license. You can use the third-party stock inside the videos you make with Pictory, but the terms forbid using it in any of these ways.

  • on its own, or in print
  • in templates for making other products, or in retail products such as e-cards, calendars, posters and screensavers
  • as part of a logo, trademark or other brand identifier
  • to train machine learning or AI systems

The same terms say Pictory claims no ownership of your content, and they treat what you make with its features, avatars included, as your content too.

Ads the terms rule out

The terms also bar portraying a person in ways Pictory calls offensive. The examples include ads for dating services, tobacco promotion and political endorsements. The same list covers showing a person "as suffering from, or being treated for, a physical or mental ailment." As we read it, that rules out a health or supplement ad that opens on a stock person or an avatar looking unwell.

In the same terms of service, Pictory describes itself as "designed for marketing, education, training, and business use." Our own pricing FAQ says every video generated with Novoads is fully licensed for commercial use.

Canceling, refunds and what reviewers say

No refunds, so download before you cancel

Pictory's pricing FAQ says the company doesn't offer refunds on paid subscriptions. It also says you can cancel anytime and won't be charged at renewal. Pictory's terms add that a cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you've paid for and that you keep access until then. They also rule out refunds for partial periods, unused services or plan changes. On an annual plan, that means you've paid for the whole year on the day you buy it, whether or not you use it.

Download your videos before you cancel. The FAQ says they're yours to keep, but Pictory permanently deletes your video projects when the account is canceled. According to a help article dated June 26, 2025, "Cancel subscription" is under My Account, on the Billing tab.

Ratings on Trustpilot and G2

On October 29, 2026, Trustpilot showed Pictory with a 4.3 rating from 677 reviews. Two-thirds of them (67%) were five-star, and 17% were one-star. Trustpilot counted 257 reviews in the previous 12 months. It also notes that Pictory has claimed its profile and replies to every negative review.

Pictory's pricing page cites an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 on G2, along with Capterra's Best Ease of Use award for 2025. We couldn't see G2's or Capterra's pages on October 29, so we report both as Pictory's own figures.

Which Pictory plan fits the ads you make

  • Starter fits one person making a few stock-footage or stock-avatar videos a month, in up to seven languages. At $29 billed monthly, it's the smallest payment that removes Pictory's branding.
  • Professional fits ads that need a cloned avatar, a voice clone, more languages or several Veo 3.1 clips a month. Billed annually, it has the lowest Veo 3.1 price in this post, about $1.87 a clip.
  • Teams fits three or more people sharing brand assets. Its credits cost more than Professional's. On monthly billing, a Teams credit is about 1.1 cents and a Professional credit about 1 cent.
  • Novoads fits an ad where an AI actor delivers your script to camera, or a batch of Nano Banana Pro images on an entry plan. You pay from the first month, and our Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits.

Every Novoads plan and each model's credit price are on our pricing page, so you can redo the math for your own script length.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Pictory free?

No. Pictory has no free plan, only a 14-day free trial with 300 credits and three video projects. Trial videos export at 720p and carry Pictory's branding. Once the trial ends, you keep the account but can't download videos without a paid plan. Starter, the cheapest paid plan, costs $25 a month billed annually or $29 billed monthly. Those prices come from Pictory's pricing page, which we read on October 29, 2026.

What is Pictory?

Pictory is an AI video maker that turns a script, an article or a URL into a video with stock footage, AI voices and avatars. Its terms of service, last updated October 13, 2026, describe it as a professional video creation platform designed for marketing, education, training and business use. It sells four plans (Starter, Professional, Teams and Enterprise) and charges credits for the clips, images and avatars you generate.

How much does a 2-minute video cost on Pictory?

About $1.93 on Starter billed monthly, by our arithmetic. Pictory pairs Starter's 2,000 monthly credits with up to 30 minutes of video. By that ratio, two minutes comes to about 133 credits. With a stock avatar presenting, the avatar alone costs 60 credits for the two minutes, about 87 cents. Pictory's pages don't say which features count against the minutes, so treat both figures as estimates. In Novoads, we bill a 2-minute talking-actor video as two started minutes. At 720p, that's 400 credits, or $19.60 on our Plus plan.

Is there a Pictory coupon code?

Pictory's pricing page showed no coupon code when we read it on October 29, 2026. The discount it does show is annual billing, which takes Starter from $29 to $25 a month. Professional goes from $59 to $35. Pictory's help center also says, in an answer dated June 26, 2025, that the company offers discounts for educators, nonprofits and teams if you ask through its in-app chat or website.

Key Takeaways

  • Pictory has no free plan, only a 14-day trial with 300 credits and three video projects. Everything you export on the trial is 720p and carries Pictory's branding.
  • Starter costs $25 a month billed annually or $29 billed monthly. On annual billing, you pay $300 for the year in advance and get all 24,000 credits up front.
  • You spend credits on generated video, images and avatars. An 8-second Veo 3.1 clip with audio costs 320 credits. A stock avatar costs 15 credits per 30 seconds of video.
  • Pictory is far cheaper for a short presenter video. On Pictory's monthly Starter, half a minute with a stock avatar costs about 22 cents. We bill a Novoads talking actor by the started minute, so the same half minute costs $9.80 on our Plus plan at 720p.
  • Pictory doesn't refund paid subscriptions and deletes video projects when an account is canceled, so download your videos first. Paid exports go up to 1080p with no Pictory watermark.
